    thank you sir...

yea, they are something ELSE!! lol...I think Roy will have a much better performance than Hopkins did. Roy will take chances and I think that Roy has power to hurt Joe...what you think?
im sceptical TBH i think Jones definetly has the speed and accuracy combined to hurt Calz but if the fight goes long i can only see one winner Calzaghe

i think Roy is to far gone to beat Calz and even though i hate to admit it i can see him getting tired in the mid rounds and getting stopped by a barrage of punches on the ropes allthough i could be completely wrong i hope so but i cant see it

I can, Calzaghe will make the fight go at a high pace and i dunno how much stamina Roy has now.

I believe that Roy is more accurate and stronger than Joe and Roy can hurt Joe...can Joe hurt Roy?

yeah i thought he could or should have finished Hanshaw off but i felt he was to tired and IMO he conserved a lot of energy in the Trinidad fight if u think back Trinidad was doing all the punching and the effective work for the first 4 rounds i think Jones is in the same position as Hopkins he can only fight for 6 rounds of a 12 round fight so either starts fast and fades or starts slow and finishes strongly

when u think back Roy should of put Tito away really

If you watch HOPKINS fight you notice that is his style and Joe Calzaghe knew this. There is NO sign of HOP swinging HIS head forward to KNOCK Joe with it. His head comes forward like some boxers do except he drops his lower and it appears as if he's trying to hit you when in all he's protecting his chin. NOW I don't know anything about Joe not admitting to hitting low. You have an article? Not doubting you, but I would like to read it for myself. Anyway I didn't see anything DIRTY from HOP. I sall Joe hitting low a few times. MAYBE not intentional BUT he still hit low and HOP was just pointing it out as ANY BOXER would do if they keep getting hit low.
              Those are all fair points

Here is the thread where it is posted and then discussed. The paper it names is the London Daily Mail, but there is no such thing. There is a Daily Mail but they did not have any comments like that from Calzaghe.

I actually think it's quite the opposite. I think this version of Roy takes a while to warm up but gets better as the fight progresses.

Ironically, you compared him to Hopkins in this regard. You're right except...maybe Hopkins when HE was 39/40 (Roy's age). That Hopkins got stronger as the fight progressed as well but took a while to warm up. Just ask Jermain Taylor.

I don't see it, but Joe did manage to hurt Kessler to the body (Sorry to have to bring Kessler up) and he is a tough guy. I don't see it, but he might. I think Roys legs are older and i rekon the high pace will take it's toll later on. Roys right hand will be a very dangerous weapon in the fight, especially early on imo.

Roy is deffinatly more accurate, I agree.

i take your point but i dont think he took time to warm up against Taylor or Oscar i think he new he could not fight for 12 so he fought strategically and when the time was right say mid rounds he started to up his workrate

                    • Tell you what, I'm a big fan of Calzaghe no surprises there. But I like many will just not sift through 19 pages with mostly 1 line posts. There's a lot of pointless ****ty posts that leave ppl not gaining from reading them or the thread so it pisses on the forum.

Read the original posts for christs sake aswell. The OP clearly said he does not have the best resume far from it, and he doesn't deserve to be p4p #1. All he's saying is purely as a boxer, he's the best all round and most talented boxer right now. Nothing majorly radical considering he's p4p #2.

If you don't have anything interesting to say don't bother, let ppl debate and exchange decent actual points which would be 4 pages, not 19 pages of crap to sift through.

                      Rant hat off.

Oh, and I am the god of hell fire. And I bring you Jesus Christ.

He'll be signing for a 20 minutes, forgiving a few sins then returning back to Newbridge so calm yourselves.
