We're on a forum. Your gonna run into some knuckle heads and sometimes its a popularity contest. Come on man, some people on here will try to tell you that Maragrito has skills. It's all in what appeals to you. If you can't see the greatness that is James Toney, then thats on you. Fat ass or not he's one of the slickest and most skilled fighters ever.
Point out where I said he wasn't great or STFU.

      Good thread. Ok, I'll bite.

The attraction of new or casual fans are NOT necessarily a great thing for the sport as a whole. People will love boxing(the sport) or not. The promotion turns into a hyped up circus turning it more into a fad than anything else. It's a money grab that hurts the hardcore fan. This is probally one of the reasons why most PPV's only has one or two(maybe) matches worthy of anything.

That biasness, nationalism, and to an extent, racism is bad for the sport(s). Man the f**k up. We don't live in a one world, one nation, one love planet. We all have likes/dislikes for whatever reason pulls you one way or another. The Olympics for example, one can achieve greatness and glory, but isn't it really Nation vs Nation? Athletes don't participate representing themselves. There are many examples out there, soccer?

I like all of those, except that I think Castillo was Mayweather's best opponent.

He is assuming that because ICANTLIE is black he was surrounded or was raised by gang ****ers and crackheads which is a racial stereotype.
Thats pretty much it. If someone can't see the racial overtones, there eyes are shut. I won't call him a racist, but it was a stereo typical racial response in my opinion.

You missed his point. He was talking about Toney when he said that, not ICANTLIE

If anything he is underrated. It's not my fault that you listen to fans like viva then hate the fighter because they have a small following of overrating, sack swinging fans.

Do you think that if it was a white fighter that was running his mouth, he would've talked all that crackhead and ****** ****? Nah don't think so...

Ike Quartey clearly beat Oscar De La Hoya, but people only like to look at the 12th round,
