Yea, that sounds like a great plan!

Miguel was running backwards into the corner for a reason,

      he had enough.

Its ok though, he did the right thing for him. I don't knock him for it. But I'm not going to sugar coat it and say he didn't quit. I seen Erik Morales quit against Manny Pacquiao and Morales is my favorite all time fighter. I was extremely disappointed but I understood why he did.

He realized he couldn't beat Pacman again.

Hey Moron... its a boxing match and I'm sure punches (a cumulative effect of em) are the reason he went down on his knees... Cotto was in worse condition going down on his own then Morales was when he shook his head. Cotto had taken in alot more rounds of punishment and Morales went down in the third with alot of stamina left. If your gonna defend somebody do it right... Vasquez is a Warrior but not on the level of JMM who fought from the first round with the same condition and finished with a fight that coulda been called either way.

Well then, I guess Sugar Ray Robinson was a bum because he had 19 losses.

Doesn't matter that the majority of them came at the tail end of his career.

He had 19 losses so he must be a bum.

I still think hes going to make for some spectacular shows in the future. In boxing, in some instances where one realizes that his health is on the line, I can understand quitting. What Rahman did a few weeks ago though is straight up *****.
Rahman didn't want to win that fight with Toney. As for Cotto and Margarito I just hope there's a rematch, that fight was ****ing spectacular.

No it seems like its you and your mexican buddies who see it diffrent....
You still haven't answered my question... What does a fighter being past his prime have to do with his own innate will and courage to continue?
