Why not a rematch?

Cotto did everything he could and still lost. When he boxed, Margs caught up to him and leveled him. When he tried to slug with Margs, he got whooped and KO'ed. The fight wasnt even close. The best Cotto could have hoped for was a Draw on the official scorecards because he was down by 2 points on 2 cards. So it would have been a majority draw at the most. Cotto doesnt deserve a rematch. There was nothing that he did in that fight that merits a rematch. He never hurt Margs. Wasnt up on the cards. Wasnt very effective as a boxer or puncher. Really, why the rematch?

This one fight showed that it was Margarito's night. You won't know what will happen if a rematch happens. It could be Cotto's night for that. Yes, Margarito gave Cotto a good whipping but that may not happen again if Cotto adjusts and learns from this past fight. At this point you can't speculate on another Margarito win.

cotto was down by two points due to the fact that 2 of the rounds specifically talking about the 7th & 10th were so thouroughly dominated by Margarito that even though there was no knockdown scored, both rounds were given to Tony 10-8. Does that answer your question?

there is nothing that Cotto can adjust on. he boxed good early. So its either, cover up his body and box so that he doesnt lose as much steam, but we all know about Cotto's chin. He will get KO'ed again. Or stand toe to toe and give up again.
