Why? Because it the best welterweight match that can be made... Sorry Paul Williams. I would not buy a PPV with you headlining it.

How is it the best? You already know what will happen. Either gets Zab'd or he does his best impression of Popo Freitas.

I think you are incorrect. Lets be honest, Cotto was doing quite well during the the fight. He got buzzed in the 10th and never really recovered. He lost... big deal. It isn't the first nor the last person who have his 0 erased.
Should we have discounted Williams after he looked awful vs Quintana? If you are using past experiences to assume what will happen in the future Williams would have never gotted a KO in the rematch. I would rather see a rematch with Cotto than a fight with Williams. Deal with it.

Cotto doesnt deserve a rematch. There was nothing that he did in that fight that merits a rematch. He never hurt Margs. Wasnt up on the cards. Wasnt very effective as a boxer or puncher. Really, why the rematch?
What fight where you watching? The majority of the posters here had it a draw before the stoppage and why not a rematch? It was a very entertaining and great fight!

The thing is Cotto looked good early and probably fought his best rounds of his career early. But that still didnt matter. P Will didnt look good at all. Yeah like I said pull a Popo Freitas. He looked good against Juan Diaz and Chico and gave up. Cotto did a real good job of taking the torch from Popo and giving up. Good Job.

                Touche'

It was a very exciting fight. It created buzz in the mainstream. Hell, my friends actually got into the fight. It lived up to the hype. It was a back and forth fight and Margarito got the hard earned W.
