Most def. fights like these and fighters like Cotto and Margarito are what boxing needs to project it back onto the mainstream!
I mean my boy who is an MMA fan was even interested in this and ordered it!
After the fight I got nothing but good feedback from him and his buddy..

It was entertaining but not close. I was there. HBO commentary persuades alot of people to believe what they are saying. In reality it really wasnt that close. I heard Lampley say that Margs had not landed anything significant in the last 2 rounds when Margs won the last round and was winning the current round. Go by what you see, not by what you hear.

I would rather see Margarito face Cotto. What is so wrong with that? It was more interesting than the Williams fight. Deal with it.

And that's why Cotto landed more shots then Margo? The majority of shots Margarito was throwing in the first few rounds where hitting nothing but glove. When I saw Kelly Pavlik vs. Jermain Taylor II live I thought Taylor had won it.. after rewatching the fight on tv though I could clearly see that Pavlik had one. It's hard to tell what's landing or not in the nosebleed sections.. it's not like you was sitting front row. Even Bayless, the referee, said it was on of the most competetive and entertaining fights he has seen.. he even said it was better then Vazquez Marquez in his opinion!

cotto was down by two points due to the fact that 2 of the rounds specifically talking about the 7th & 10th were so thouroughly dominated by Margarito that even though there was no knockdown scored, both rounds were given to Tony 10-8. Does that answer your question?

Cotto indeed did not back up Margarito because he simply couldnt. He was too small & overpowered by the mexican. A rematch would prove the same unless Cotto has new tricks in his bag...but even with that, whatever they may be, it ownt impress me or much less Margarito who will most likely blow by him once again.

Look at the body shots and tell me if those were hitting glove or elbows. Cotto was moving back while throwing punches. you cant get full steam on your punches that way. For every 2 the Cotto landed, it equaled one big body shot. Cotto was putting more speed on his punches which made them more ineffective. He never had good balance and leverage to hit Tony with a bi shot. They were more swift quick, point scoring punches. Tony were more power and bad intentions behind it. It just goes by how you score a fight. 1 Big punch or 2-3 ineffective off balance quick shots. A Jab, Right, Jab or a big left hook to the body. Me personally, 1 Big shot all day baby!!
