he's been fighting since he was 16.

i think he'd do okay right now against anyone NOT top 10-15 at 122.

we'll see. roach knows what he's doing......

It seems like they want all the credit from start to finish which will ruin a lot of their fighters full potential.
      i agree.

grandpa penalosa was a vet for a long , long time but still look how much a guy like freddie improved him.

if your trainer gives you a massage a couple hours before a fight...... that mofo don't know what he's doing!!!!!

What are you talking about, isn't he ranked inside the top 10-15... I think he beats the top 4-10000000... He is close to championship contention with a record and experience he has... I guarantee you he beats PDL vial KO...

A lot of people knock Ponce De Leon out.

I like Concepcion, it just seems like he didn't set up his punches well earlier in the fight. The reason he KOed that guy was because he just turned on the jets with his speed.

Concepcion fights like Pacquiao already with the power and in-n-out movement. He should work on his speed and throw more combos.

I strongly doubt he will be "the next Manny Pacquiao", but he will learn a lot from Freddie Roach.

There has to be a balance between being babied and being thrown in with the wolves. With 26 wins under his belt and 28 pro fights, he should be a top 4-10 opponent away from a title shot. I know he is only 20 but he looks like a filled out man with that body. Just a point of comparison, Juanma is older with less fights under his belt with a similar resume of quality wins againts highly touted co-prospects and journeymen. Bernabe had wins againts Elizondo and Joksan Hernandez and many others fighters with quality winning records, while juanma beat Oquendo and others with quality winning records.. Only thing that seperates them is a win againts PDL for juanma and amount of impressive KOs, which are highly in Juanma's favor.. I know Juanma is really good but most put him past prospect status cuz of the PDL KO. Difference is he got his shot to show he is more than just. BC should be ready for something above what he has been facing. He should fight a De Leon caliber opponent if not De Leon himself. He looks ready. How many more guys should he outclass....

                  Last 8 Concepcion
                  Carrera (19-3) TKO in 3
                  Daniels (10-3) TKO in 2
                  Ruiz (24-4) Unanimous Decision
                  Garcia (14-5) TKO in 9
                  Elizondo (22-2) TKO in 4
                  Flores (14-2) Unanimous Decision
                  Moon (6-5) TKO in 4
                  Hernandez (12-0) Unanimous Decision

                  Last 8 Juanma before PDL
                  Oquendo (14-1) TKO in 3
                  Adorno (16-8) TKO in 2
                  Dianzo (31-11) TKO in 10
                  Andrade (55-10) TKO in 1
                  Otero (17-8) TKO in 7
                  Brea (16-3) TKO in 2
                  Vargas (15-1) RTD in 6
                  Alonso (31-10) TKO in 3

Im not saying hes better than Juanma, Im just sayin he gotta step up sooner or later... He has been dominating and its time to step it up a notch.

guys in the top 30 or so but not top 10 would be a step up.

a solid , older former bantam or 122 former champ would do. or a former 118-122 top contender who has aged and slipped a bit. fight at least one past prime contender or champ before you take on a current champ or top contender.

no need to fight a top 10 guy yet.

I think he should be ready for a title fight some time in the middle of next year. He's a real quality fighter, Saturday's fight was just a showcase though since that guy was coming off a knockout loss already. I'd say match him with a Mike Oliver or Gary Stark Jr and see how he does. If he wins impressively, he'd be ready for a title fight.
