bernabe concepcion and freddie roach was sent by top rank to puerto rico to train with evangelista cotto's young fighters. he sparred and schooled many of the top puerto rican prospects at the gym from featherweight all the way to one light heavyweight. miguel was impressed at the super bantamweight's skills and decided to do spar with the kid a little. in a little friendly betting roach bet miguel $50k that he wouldn't be able to knock out abe. miguel accepted. they sparred for 4 rounds with no headgear and 8 ounce pro gloves on and miguel couldn't hurt the young kid and had to pay up.
