Warp, you have to keep in mind that judges are swayed by damage done in a fight. It's the one thing that can cancel general clean punching and high work rate. It's one of the great equalizers in boxing along with winning on guile when you're past it or fighting injured.Comment

to the OP horrible scorecard! just because a boxer lands some the cleaner punches that doesnt mean they are hurting the opponent more than the other one is. not one punch or combination of Cotto hurt margarito while margarito's body punching and upper cuts were clearly hurting and slowing Cotto down after every round. i had it margarito 6-4 going into the 11th and im glad that 2 of the official judges agreed with me while the other had it a tie...Comment

I don't like his style. He's slow and just plods foward with no regrads for defense. He had a bad resume (not now) and was always crying about how he got ducked.
I don't like his style. Fernando Montiel, Humberto Soto, Juan Urango (especially him), and Antonio Margarito. Eh.
I gained some respect for Margarito tonight, but I don't like him. I don't feel that heavyily objected my card because you can justify giving him rounds especially round 6 in which everyone seems to have scored for Margarito for some reason.
It was a closer fight rewatching it, but I still felt Cotto was winning at the time of the stoppage.Comment

This was my card. Cotto I think was winning this fight easy in my opinion. I couldn't believe people had this a draw going in. Cotto was landing clean effective blows and Margarito was landing the kind that hurt, but they weren't landing all the way. Margarito might have won the 6th.
I mean I'll give credit to Margarito, he was effective, but he was not winning. I'd love to see a rematch.
Other thoughts:
- I'm not going to be like "Cotto sucks" he didn't run he did what he had to do to try and win. Margarito has average skill, but probably the best chin I've ever seen. My god, Cotto hit him with like 5 shots in a row and Margarito was just like "Lol I'm gonna KO you in round 11"
- I still don't like Margarito and feel he would lose to cotto in a rematch, Williams, and Mayweather. He put on a good knockout. I want to say he's average, but he's not. I wouldn't say great, but he's an elite welterweight fighter.
-Cotto + body = oh wait. He never went there. What the **** cotto?
-Really sad to see Lampley and Steward crying. Lampley was going to and Steward was almost going to. Their favorite boxer got crushed.
-Cotto needs to cut that pernell whitaker **** out, but he had the right idea of boxing and he was winning easily. Mayweather would have shut Margarito out.
-I'm still in awe about Margarito's chin. Don't know if I've made that clear yet.
-I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty bummed out right now, especially after seeing Lamps and Steward looking like they were going to cry. I'd probably cry if Hopkins got KOd though. I'm man enough to admit that.
-So I lost 15k on the fight, but gained 15k because it wasn't Fight of the year (bull**** to anyone who says other wise) and mr. grey hair and grey beard who has no name wasn't there.

I had it 96-94 personally.
