  • Rado, you're almost as bad for responding to such bollox.

I mean, Moby and *****y ass Pascal are better than Calzaghe now. The bloke is obviously mentally inept or on a wind up.

I suppose so. He's probably both.

All the judges were American, and HBO, The Ring, and most other boxing experts scored it narrowly to Calzaghe. And if Hopkins hadn't been allowed to take two long rests by the referee when he auditioned for an Oscar after phantom low blows, he would have been humiliated in the late rounds, because he was totally gassed.

The fact is, Pavlik has never been able to cope with any fighter who has good footwork and lateral movement, he's a strictly come forward fighter. And Calzaghe had very good footwork and a lot of lateral movement. Anyone who pretends that Pavlik is a better fighter than Calzaghe is simply trumpeting their complete and utter ignorance of boxing.
i never called it a robbery, i said i thought hopkins won.

phantom low blow, u serious? to score a fight a certain way or to look at someones ability a certain way is one thing. but all u have to do is watch the replay and u can see the punch landed right on the ****ing cup! how can anyone watch the replay and ignore the obvious fact that hopkins got hit low? it takes bias to a whole new level.

i give credit to joe for fighting smart and wearing hopkins down, then again hopkins was 43 so u have to take it with a grain of salt. either way i though hopkins did enough early to secure a vicory, joe shouldve needed a KO and started throwing low blows in desperation which backfired and allowed hopkins to get of the hook. thats calzaghes mistake.

i agree calzaghe is more well rounded than pavlik (obviously), but that doesnt change the fact that pavlik has a win better than anything on joes resume. and since he remains willing to fight the best he is likely to keep racking em up and achieve more than joe did, joe being so unwilling to take risks himself. also pavlik is young and still rough around the edges, leaving lots of room for improvement. i never said pavlik is better than joe, i said by the time he retires he will probably go down as a better fighter.

        dont twist my words dude.

of course he needed a ko after losing at least 6 out of the first 8 rounds. his own corner said that he needed a ko so he went into total flail mode. he won 3 out of the last 4 rounds and people think he won because that's the last thing they remember. how does doing good at the end of the fight retroactively win you early rounds? oh yeah it doesn't.

these people aren't boxing fans and have no idea how to score fights. they are calzaghe fans or anti hopkins fans and will change the rules of scoring to suit their needs. hopkins had much better defense and out landed calzaghe by a wide margin in at least 6 rounds. obviously anyone with a brain and no bias would give the round to the guy landing all the clean punches and barely getting hit but when it's calzaghe against hopkins throwing and missing is worth more and wins you the round for some bizarro reason.

how did verbal negotiations turn into hopkins backed out of a fight he signed for? calzaghe fans have to lie and distort history because reality is not very kind to him. you aren't supposed to actually believe them! remember according to them calzaghe was a big puncher.

calzaghe and glen johnson had a signed fight. twice. and calzaghe pulled out. twice. big difference between that and verbal negotiations.

Whats the sound logic? That Calzaghe pulled out of a fight injured against Johnson whereas Hopkins was too *****-made to even sign the fight against Calzaghe?

                  Whats the relevance?

                    • ****** question since a washed up B-Hop obviously beat Calzaghe to any objective, non-racist observer.
