FOUR TIMES calzaghe failed to get in the ring with Johnson. FOUR times not twice.

prime to prime? what do you mean prime to prime?? when "was" hopkins prime? is he shot??? Hopkins prime? when he beat tito? tarver? kelly? How can you measure hopkins prime?

      back to the thread.

Joe cal has the style to beat nard. he just throw to many punches from all angles... for me joe cal has the style to beat hopkins at least 8 of 10 times... their fight wasnt even "that" close as some ppl claim....

joe cal beat him fair & square, lets move on.

Hopkins isn't prime in his 40's this is common sense bro come on. He's still good enough to win and fight on an elite level, but clearly a big difference from what we see today compared to what was in the ring say against tito.

A younger hopkins never had problems with volume punchers man. Stamina was the main reason hopkins faded against calzaghe and stamina was one of his best attributes when he was younger.

            It was twice.

I dont get Hopkins fans logic.

"Hopkins backed out of fighting Joe"

Hopkins fan: "Yeah....uh....well Calzaghe ducked Johnson"

            Whats the connection here?

Calzahe actually only pulled out injured once. Johnson refused to reschedule the fight.

Dag was right, Calzaghe fans resort to straight up LIES!

The first "injury" Joe pulled out in the 11th hour due to "back spasms"

Here is one article that shows that:
                http://www.thefreelibrary.com/BOXING...t.-a0117764823

The second "injury" Joe sprained his wrist.

Here is one article that shows that:

"But Johnson - still angered by Calzaghe's late withdrawal from a planned bout in 2004 with a back injury - has been left disappointed once again."

Wrong. There was no confirmed opponent for the 2nd date you refer to.
