Calzaghe: highly unlikely, but possible due to Joe's age (Joe's slightly lost his edge over recent years imo). then again Calzaghe could completely school him

Abraham: i think Pavlik would deal with Abraham, but not easily. be very interesting if Abraham managed to hit him with some big combos too

Dawson: Dawson outboxes him to a points victory... way too slick
    My thoughts exactly.

      That was well thought out

You would make Abraham the favorite over Pavlik? I cant agree with that.
Obviously Calzaghe would be the favorite against him, and probably Bad Chad. That said I think Kelly has a solid chance against either of them, and I see him as a decent favorite against Old Hopkins and AA.

Pavlik would have a tough time with all of them, I would be surprised if he gets by without atleast one or two losses on his record.
But that's what boxing is about, fighting the best and I hope to see Pavlik against all of them, as well as Kessler and whoever else is out there (Winky, Sturm, Bute...).

He will beat Hopkins on sheer productivity alone. Even though I think it will be s/d.
He will lose against kessler unanimous decision
Abraham is as 50/50 as ANY fight can get. It is either Pavlick wins on points or aa puts him to sleep.

I agree with everything except for you mentioning that Pavlik beating Calzaghe is highly unlikely. Pavlik throws straight punches and Calzaghe loops his shot. He also has the tools to and ability to get on the inside and make a war out of it, which Calzaghe often does and leaves himself vulnerable when he does it. He would have to box Pavlik, and could wound up being stopped if he fights him the way he did Lacy or Kessler.

All in all, it was a very good post i must say.

Abraham's style suits Pavlik and this is the only person I'd pick him to beat. I'll still undecided about Hopkins...

Calzaghe chin is on the same level as Pav licks.

I don't rate Pavlik that highly I'm afraid, but it is by no means impossible that he'd beat Abraham, what with Abraham's willingness to take shots on his gloves and have a low workrate. However, I actually think that Abraham would KO him, because I don't think he has the best chin.
