Hopkins, Calzaghe, Abraham, Dawson...can Pav lick beat all 3?

Hopkins: probably, but only because of Hopkins' age. even Hopkins of 2-3 years ago vs. today's Pavlik would result in Hopkins totally humiliating Pavlik

Calzaghe: highly unlikely, but possible due to Joe's age (Joe's slightly lost his edge over recent years imo). then again Calzaghe could completely school him

Abraham: i think Pavlik would deal with Abraham, but not easily. be very interesting if Abraham managed to hit him with some big combos too

Dawson: Dawson outboxes him to a points victory... way too slick

RJJ vs Hopkins would be a better fight so would Calzaghe vs Pavlik. It sucks its the other way around.

I would pick Pavlik to win fairly close decisions over Hopkins and Abraham, lose a reasonably comfortable decision to Calzageh and have a very tough time with Dawson.

A tough one for him for sure, we all know what Hopkins can do, but I just wonder how Hopkins could possibly get a decision over someone like Pavlik, unless he is really able to make Pavlik cautious, which is possible.

I want to see Pavlik KO Hopkins, but if JC had a hard time landing on Hop I cant see a predictable, slower fighter having an easy time landing, especially since Hop still has good speed in his 1 punch counter right. Look what Hop did to Tarver and Winky, I don't see Pavlik having much more success, unless there's a strict referee who stops Hop from holding and fouling.

Yes! I want Pavlik to be as hyped as possible when/ if he fights Joe so if he KOs Hopkins I would love it, and it would all but guarantee a Calzaghe fight.

However, you make some good points about Hopkins and I definitely think Hopkins has a chance to beat Pavlik. Perhaps he is a little underrated since losing to Joe. The advantage Kelly has over Winky and Tarver though is workrate, which gives him a better chance than either of those two IMO, because workrate is basically what Hopkins loses to.

Is he that skilled to beat all 4 of these guys...I mean what your take on Kelly matchup with these 4 elite fighters

would beat hops by 12 round sweep decision
would beat calzaghe by tko.
