How well does Calzaghe have to beat Jones for you not to discredit him?

Ugly but probably true. Roy's new style is his really best hope here....cause the guy that came in against Johnson will lose this fight.

more proof? he lost to hopkins. remember when hopkins landed all the punches and calzaghe landed zero real punches the whole fight. hopkins won but pissed everyone off with his style. guess thats not good enough for some people. its called boxing not coming forward(coming forward and getting punched more like it)

I won't discredit him but I think he won't get any credit for this fight from some people if he doesn't dominate.

All this talk about Calz stock after this fight, what happens when Jones DOMINATES Calz......I mean lets be honest here ppl the style that even this Roy Jones presents is one that Calz will have a lot of trouble with.....The speed itself is something Calz has never seen, and Jones still possess the ability to make ppl miss consistenly.....Its not soo much with his legs anymore, but with his elbow up defense allowing him to catch most shots on his elbows....Ppl who say that Calz will TKO Jones must be crazy....He doesn't hit hard enough point blank.....Jones has been KO by two men, Antonio Tarver who is a BIG LHW, who has one punch KO ability....And Glencoffe Johnson, who stands in front of ppl with his iron chin, and wallops them with big over hand rights all night, while not relenting in his pressure of his opponents....Calz doesnt possess either of these abilities.....

Workrate......Yes, but not enough mustard then Johnson had to be able to hurt or KO Roy....He hasnt had a meaningful KO in over 4 years, and the one sided beat down of Jeff Lacy just showed how one dimensional a fighter Lacy is......A good win for Calz, but great....Com on now fellas......There is no......and i repeat no wayy that Calz even stuns Roy nm TKO's him.......And again who possess the one punch KO power in this fight, or better yet the ability to finish an opponent when he has one hurt, its Jones, and although we havent seen this since 2002 vs. Clinton Woods, someone Tarver couldn't KO, I think that Jones being motivated will hurt Calz and when he does it could be lights out and his 0 could go b/c jones knows he not only needs a win, but he needs to win in emphatic fashion......

I honestly disagree that Calzaghe can't hurt Jones, Johnson wasn't and isn't a big puncher and he managed to knock Jones out, Calzaghe isn't the biggest puncher in the world but he carries some pop in his punches when he sits down on them, he even managed to hurt Kessler in their fight and hurt Lacy more than once which to be fair was to be expected considering the amount of punches he landed.

Calzaghe has his own method of pressuring his opponents, it's not as intense as Johnson's pressure but it's very good pressure, he was able to wear down Hopkins down the stretch because of his pressure and high workrate.

And Calzaghe has a very good chin, the only time I've seen him hurt was against the power punching Byron Mitchell and even in that fight, he came back to knock him out a minute later.

His 32 knockout victims would disagree with you.

Jones is shot. Get it through your brain. No one is buying losers like you propping him up to make Joe look good. It's pathetic and shows you guys are biased or know nothing about the sport.
Another one obsessed with ****sexual references in all their posts. Disturbing.

I never said Jones was or wasnt shot. Either way, its an opinion and you cant force yours on anybody especially with the bull**** you come out with.

Maybe Jones is shot. Or maybe if he'd taken a few more risks in his "prime" then those knockouts would've come earlier.

Is Jones at the peak of his powers? No. Is Calzaghe? No. Is Jones still a great boxer with the talent to win the fight? No doubt.

Will Calzaghe be considered "shot" by you if he loses to Jones?

By the way, Who's "you guys"? Still got your knickers in a twist over the Brits dont ya? Funny as ****.
