How well does Calzaghe have to beat Jones for you not to discredit him?

I often diagree with bsrizpac, but he's made some good points. What is that sig all about anyway Dirk? Patriotism is fine, but why the anti-American element?

@*********: Thanks for the red K, I gave you some green back. I know it's wrong to encourage people like you, but I figured that your warped thoughts may stem from some kind of self-esteem issue, and maybe increased rep will be the way to cheer you up.

Probably not, but I can dream *wipes away tear*

LOL. Nice post in regards to *********.

I've been saying Jones has been shot since Tarver 3. Diego Fuego and I used to go on about it. I just think that he should have retired if he could let a fight like Tarver slip out of his hands because he was scared or didn't want it or whatever.

I think Joe wins this one. I think Joe deserves this fight as a nice easy end of the career big payday type deal. I think this fight means nothing as to who was better. I think that Jones will have to pull a miracle at this point to beat joe.

I think that Roy Jones in his prime was amazing and would beat Joe. But now? I just can't see it.

revisionist history coming up. if calzaghe manages to beat roy people will say joe was supposed to lose to roy cause hes the p4p #1 of all time.
just like lacy(calzaghe was the slight favorite)
        kessler(2 to 1 favorite)
        and hopkins(4 to 1 favorite)
        joe is such an underdog!

Dirk is one of the worst posters on this site. If I was one of the UK boys on here I would actually be pissed off at him because I think that he genuinely taints people againt British fight fans which is a real shame.

            Thanks.

Yeah, I give the edge to Calzaghe too, but I'm not sure how things will play out or what strategy either will use. It's possible that Calzaghe will decide that Jones is there to be KO'd early, and it's possible that Jones will decide to go for the KO because he doesn't expect to win a decision.

Probably a points decision for Calzaghe though.

I just can't see how a guy who gave away rounds to Trinidad's corpse, and Prince Badi AND Henshaw can keep up with the workrate. Plus he's gunshy and flat footed now.

I mean I called the Hopkins fight exactly right too. B hop did not have nearly enough activiity to hang with Calzaghe.

I just think Calz can UD this one.

I give Joe credit for beating Jeff Lacy, Mikkel Kessler, and Bernard Hopkins.

But for me, that doesn't warrant his #2 P4P spot. I feel that many boxers would beat him right now.

Glen Johnson dominated and KO'd RJJ in 9. And this was 4 years ago. If Calzaghe can't do better, his stock drops again and we will have more proof he wouldn't have hung with B-Hop or Roy in their primes.
