I think the best thing for Pavlik is to stay at middleweight and defend his titles or unify with Abraham, jumping weight classes like this is not good for him or for boxing, the only reason he should move up right now is for Calzaghe although beating Hopkins could stir more interest in a Calzaghe fight.

Heh heh heh. Someone told me this yesterday and I laughed at them. I owe him a drink.

Kelly ... Kelly ... you're the MW champion of the world. Rule that division for a while yeah. You'll be better off in the long term.

I cannot believe they are going to make Pavlik/HOpkins PPV. I'd pay to see Pavlik/Abraham. But I'll NEVER pay again for any fight Hopkins is in. They are just downright boring usually. I mean I know hopkins is one of those guys that usually only throws punches that mean something and land, but he just makes for boring fights.

Pavlik has no intentions of fighting Abraham as his next opponent. Abraham called Pavlik out after he beat Miranda, but Pavlik hasn't answered back. This mandatory crap that Abraham has to fight is bull****, that can wait. Abraham already fought enough low-level mandatory opponents, so I don't think the ABC organizations are in the way of a unification bout, it's just that Pavlik doesn't want the fight.

In any case Hopkins-Pavlik isn't official and Pavlik might do a 180 and fight someone else, possibly Williams.

If Abraham wants to keep his belt, he'll have to fight Raul Marquez.

i dont know why he wont just fight abraham and worries about calzaghe later. i think he can beat abraham for sure, not taking anything away from abraham but i just see pavlik stopping him. if calzaghe loses though and he beats hopkins he should just worry about abraham.

Why in God's name are you all moaning about a Calzaghe - Pavlik fight? Its a fight between the current dominant P4P guy around the middle weights and the best young champ, this is what boxing should be about. Like someone else said, I don't understand NSB sometimes.

"Kelly isn't thrilled with the fight"

So why the **** is Arum making it happen?

The only way Pavlik and Abarham fight early next year is if Pavlik loses.
