I was just on ticketmaster and the cheapest ticket left is $500.

This isn't a huge fight, only for us hardcores.

One of the biggest mistakes The Bobfather made was ticket prices.

If you want to sit anywhere in the lower bowl it's a minimum $500, which is out-****in'-rageous for a fight like this. No matter how much we may want to believe it these guys aren't household names, especailly Margarito.
Generally speaking, nobody knows who the **** he is and Cotto isn't too far behind in that department.

If tickets were cheaper (let's say the most expensive ticket was $500) I truly believe this fight would have been sold out or come close to it.

Arum has gotten lazy as ****. Zero promotion. He figures if he puts it in the casino they do all the work for him..wrong! The casinos only promote locally to make people aware of this fight, nowhere else.

Like someone mentioned earlier, there are no more real promoters anymore. They just get a facility, hold 3 or 4 press conferences on both coasts and stage a fight, that's it.

This is why Cotto needs to Leave Top Rank...
BOB ARUM IS A *****, and he is killing Boxing..

Are you crazy? the fight won't sniff 375K. I called 275k to 325K when it was announced.

Pacquiao-Mexicans do 330-350K. This fight will do less.

you know? hey but on the really.. most Mexicans I know don't treat Margarito with the same respect, love and effection they do Morales and Barrera.. Marquez gets love but not as much as those two and Margarito is like the ugly stepchild no one cares for.

He should of had this fight in either Puerto Rico, Mexico, or New York.

I blame Bob Arum for this, He is holding Cotto Back from being a star just like he did with Floyd...

Cotto needs to Leave Arum, HE COULD do better by himself in my opinion
This fight would have done better if it wasn't the summer season.. If you ever visited Vegas you would know. Next thing you know you will try and say that business is slow in all the casinos because no one knows Cotto too Last years summer fights didn't do so well here either and you can't blame Cotto for Margo's fans not showing up lol
The very few Ricans that I know over here are going to the fight. And all the nose bleeds and cheaper seats are sold out.. what does that tell you? the majority of people going are die hard boxings fans.. lol

At the point in his career when Cotto fought Malignaggi, Mayweather hadn't even had his first PPV yet so that's ******.

So it's Cotto and Margarito's fault that business is slow in the casinos right now and it's their least bussiest time of the year too??
