Ed, Al, the character Jab is simple, a half wit, and a full time idiot. Don't keep going with him, he likes to get the last word. I have him on iggy because he hates black fighters. He does more than criticize them. It goes beyond talking about a fighter

It is how Wlad fights lol. He seems so uncomfortable. If he settled down, he is big enough to block shots with his arms and counter a guy. He doesn't have that in his style. It's why he jumps around and gets tired against guys who can take his punch. If Wlad did the rope-a-dope, he'd be one of the greatest heavies ever, and I say that with no bull#$@% sarcasm. He will not sit on the ropes or stay inside on anyone. People say he shouldn't, he has that reach. In his 3 losses, his reach didn't matter. He got tired because he didn't block a guys punches and rest on the ropes, or he didn't sit inside and smother Sanders who had the faster hands and go to his body.

If Thompson's record (31-1) was "worse than many of the prospects out there" (fact?), why don't you make a list of all the better records for us? I don't think it will take you very long to finish it.

Thanks for the tip. I'm always slow to see real malice in anybody, especially when we're talking boxing. Besides, I have a bit of a big mouth myself, and find it hard to resist responding, although I hope in good taste always.

With respect, I differ slightly. I don't see how a #1 contender's record could be worse that that of a prospect. The #1 must have fought several other top tens, and the prospect probably only maybe a worn out former top tenor long washed up ex-champ.
I'm not saying that this is THE RULE, but it's a norml "rule-of-thumb.

As for Thompson "moving up" I see nothing wrong with this assumption. My logic is that Thompson is a stealthy mover-upper, keeping fairly quiet about what he's doing, and the Champion W. Klitschko is one of the most publicized and talked about Boxers in the past 20 years. So, unless the opponent was a mxture of King Kong and Godzilla, he's naturally be regarded (as would all other fighters) as "moving up".

With any champion as dominant as Klitschko, everyone else, who's beaten more top 10's than anyone, and with a 90% KO ratio, even the other champions would be "moving up" to fight him, never mind a contender.

            Anyway, that's my opinion.

Al is a good poster, but I didn't answer his post because I thought he was being sarcastic lol.

If you were willing to have a reasonable and polite discussion you wouldn't have made any insinuating and insulting remarks in your first post, because I choose to agree with another poster. as far as "whadda ya goin' t' do abad it??" Lol, I disagree with your opinion. What am I supposed to do about it argue with a 14 year old all day?

Records are NOT numbers. You could be 100-0 with 99 "mandatory" (fell in lovewith that term as soon i found what it really means) defenses and still be crappy, and have a crappy record.
