i don't think anyone thinks it. they're just messing with floyd fans. i do that too.

people can say erik and marco are better than floyd resume-wise but to say those guys who are at their best at 122 can beat floyd (a more natural 140) head to head in a fight is ludicrous.

p4p status its not ridiculous. Floyd never faced anyone as good as Morales or Barerra who were excellent boxer/brawler combos. Most people look back today and think "brawlers" when in actuality, they were extremely skilled boxers as well. When Floyd did face someone who was possibly close, Castillo, he got beat. Its not any stretch of the imagination in a pound for pound sense that Erik or Marco could beat Floyd.

[B][COLOR="Navy"][COLOR="Navy"][B][I][COLOR="Navy"]As if any of the three faced anybody like Mayweather. These "Extremely skilled boxers" many times took 3 punches to land one like both Barrera and Morales did throughout their careers. Morales was finished at 30. One "Extremely skilled boxer" lost to Freddy Norwood . The other got KTFO by Jr Jones . I don't recall that happening to Mayweather. Also, last time I checked, Castillo has two losses to Mayweather.

Joe, just look at who started the thread. You are going to learn that lunacy is a part of these boards lol. Some how talking about Floyd fighting these guys at 126 some how warrants talking about how Castillo fought Floyd, and who Floyd didn't supposedly face at welter. Don't bring up Norwood, Junior Jones, or Barrera and Raheem beating Morales again. I'll throw you some K and give you props. I dare you to start this logic crap up again Joe, I double dare you!

Well, considering that they all acted like a bunch of amnesiacs when I bought up that Barrera, PRIME Barrera, lost twice to Junior Jones. Not once, but twice. Convincingly too. Marquez has never won any of his biggest fight including to Freddy Norwood. Morales lost to Raheem and took too much punishment in his entire career, resulting in him being finished at 30. I don't know of any "highly skilled boxers" who go out like that. Morales was much more a brawler than a boxer. They won't respond to that because they have no answer for it. If they do try to justify it with the usual excuses like,"Barrera ate some bad fish" or " Marquez had a hang nail" . If they do that, they will further add to how ridiculous they look on the topic...

You are pointing to a single close fight. Were pointing out CLEAR losses to Jr Jones, as well as fighting floyd at the weight where neither those guys were at their best nor possesed major KO power. As i said earlier, Floyd is likely the most completel fighter at 130 ever. Castillo was beaten in the rematch and the first one was close, even if you think floyd lost, he still won the rematch even more clearly, there is no need to even bring it up, especially since Castillo was generally big at 135 as well as being bigger than Marco and Erik.

Even looking at it objectively, there is nothing that Erik/Marco/JMM bring to the table that would suggest they would beat floyd at 130, especially since JMM/Marco looked their worst against fighters who were technical movers. I mean, not close fights, but LOSSES.
