he was a very good fighter and had very good power.

he cleaned up the division and would have unified the belts if it wasn't for ABC politics.

his career was short but it was a great one.

he wasn't exposed as much as his lifestyle caught up with him. he had a short "prime".

hameds power wasnt staggering to me, where his power came from was his odd angles to hit people with punches you couldnt see coming. Basically he came from odd impossible angles to hit you with and most people couldnt see it coming.

I would have liked to have seen him against floyd jr and morales which was definately being discussed at the time

he was a true talent. its hard to replicate what he did. I think he fought in too high of a weight class cuz he was only about 5'4 which is probably the reason he got beat by a bigger barrera but he was still very dominant. probably p4p the hardest puncher in boxing history and he landed those punches with deadly accuracy at weird angles. Was very hard to hit with his odd style and body movements.

I still say if he makes a comeback at bantamweight right now, he could take over that division easily.

He walked passed me (well, about 50 feet) at the Augie Sanchez fight and I couldn't believe how small he was in person. Alot of fighters are like that. I met Hagler some years back and he seemed very small to me also. On the flip side, I met Foreman at the Holfield-Stewart2 fight in AC and he seemed enormous.

Barrera decisioned him. Barrera didn't ko him. Whats the shame in losing to Barrera. Barrera used his brain and boxed him and Naz wasn't prepared for that. Every fighter 147 and under should thank Naz for paving the way for million dollar fights. The guy had mad skills the only thing he lacked was dedication to the sport that made him famous.

Barrera didnt ko Naz but if you look at the fight it was lopsided all 12 rounds, therefore he got his ass handed to him. I agree theres is no shame on losing to a guy like barrera, but i think he dominated Naz in that one.

he was hilarious, a great entertainer, a talented athlete, and a powerful puncher.

barrera really exposed him though, but it was a phenomenal run while it lasted.
