BTW, Jones was proposing the fight in the UK "First". Then in the US. If I must, I'll go and look up an article for ya. Must I? Joe always prefers fighting in UK. Who would'nt. Bigger paydays and larger crowds for him. It's a no brainer. Even for stuck up Joe. (BTW, I like Joe allot. Just not when it comes to fighting Jones)
Larger crowds but definitely NOT bigger paydays...

Everything you're saying is just your opinion. I wanted FACTS. You have none.

And yes, Jones wanted 60/40. What's wrong with that? he was the bigger draw, was considered pound for pound #1 and already had a WIN over Hopkins.

And you're right...his demands for Calzaghe would've been bigger cuz who was Calzaghe back then. Except he didn't have to make any demands because Joe C. never wanted to fight him!
      And this is FACTS?

What Im saying is that Jones was in the position of power. Calzaghe wanted to fight him so the only one who could've stopped it was Jones.

Jones was happy to fight the Clinton Wood's and David Telesco's of this world for a large paycheque and little risk.

Calzaghe HAD to fight the Pudwills and Salems of this world because of a weak division and the unwillingness of the big names to fight him.

Lying? okay, i'll get proof joker. Lookin now.

Also: Tell me how Joe is doing Roy a favor? Is he giving Roy a bigger payday than Jones would get for a rematch w/ Glenn Johnson? Doubtful. What about maybe Dawson? Nope. Roy is doing Joe the favors by allowing him to make some "real" money like he has made since the mid-90's by fighting a "real" legend . Joe has just now started to reap the benefits of being a boxing star. Better recognize sonny.

What if Calzaghe said, "Hey Roy, I wanna fight you...in my little known country for my little known belt for little money. Sound good?"

Nah, that couldn't be because Calzaghe had all those fights in the US!

And LOL@ you saying 60/40 to Hopkins was outlandish back then. When did you start watching boxing? Try becoming a fan of the sport instead of the fighter.

AND LMAO@ Calzaghe having to fight Shelby Pudwill. LMAO, LMAO! Instead of giving up his title, moving to 175 and forcing his way to a shot! No, that's too much to ask for.

But you know who did that? ROY JONES. When he vacated his 160 crown and moved up to fight Toney!

Correction: Jones was Jones in his prime back then. Calzaghe is NOT and will never be the P4P #1 fighter, more-less hold that distinction for years. Especially after the Jones fight.

To Calzaghe, that meant Omar Sheika!!!!!! *****!! What a *****!!

But Calzaghe didnt say that did he. He'd already shown a willingness to travel. He'd already expressed a desire to go to the states.

Are you telling me that if he fought Brewer or Mithchell in the states, it would've meant more and suddenly Jones would've jumped at the chance to fight him? Gimmie a break.

I didnt say 60/40 was outlandish. I said if he wanted 60/40 against BHop, then think of what he'd demand for Calzaghe.

Yeah good thing Toney was willing to give Roy a shot. Pity Roy wasnt willing to do the same for Joe.

I dissagree. Larger crowds mean bigger paydays. It would have been on HBO PPV any way it went. That means the dollars would have been the same in that aspect.

                    25k fans= a good amount of money.

                    100k fans= a ridiculous load of duckets.
