      Actually, I think that's brilliant.

      "Such and such ducked me."

      "How?"

      "They didn't fight me."

Can you imagine how many fighters can use that? Next Manny Pacquiao's gonna say Tyson ducked him cuz he never fought him.

ROY JONES SUGGESTED THE REMATCH CLAUSE, not Joe.

You guys believe what you wanna believe. So lemme see, Roy wants a rematch clause. No wait, he wants to fight Sam Peter next.

Joe C will never fight Roy because it makes no sense - he's shot and wouldn't add anything to his legacy.

Joe C will fight Roy instead of Pavlik because he's a legend and fighter of the 90's.

Which Calzaghe quote is the truth?

You forgot the part where Joe said Kelly Pavlik is not a good enough fighter or worthy opponent to face him (after beating the **** out of LOCKETT, another POS JOKE in boxing).... lol.... Makes no sense to me if Jones said he's moving up to heavy that he would want a rematch clause.... what ever...
Joe is scared of Pavlik (EASY TO SEE and understand) smart on Joe, still a *****...

Joe got down early to an excellent fighter in Kessler, and came back to completely dominate the fight and tire his opponent out. He also displayed the great chin he has.

Against Hopkins, who easily weighed 190 after rehydrating, he took the best B-Hop could give, and then once again, completely took over the fight in the mid, to late rounds. It was Hopkins who feigned getting donked in the sack (which the replay clearly debunks) to get a rest, because he was simply getting dominated by that point.

Calzaghe proved in both contests that he has heart, stamina, and a champion's will to keep fighting even if falling behind early.

Cal doesn't have the same zip on his punches that he used to, but he's 35+ now. Jones lost his first fight (as the DQ doesn't count) once he reached that age. In fact, he got KO'd hard.

There are threads all over this place with links to quotes and articles about Jones and Hopkins being asked during their MW days (and Jones' SMW days) about fighting Calzaghe. In each instance, they turned it down simply because of Joe's lack of name recognition in the states, and because they wanted more money. Doesn't sound like the heart of a champion to turn down a legitimate champ/contender over money.

"Why make $4 million when I can make $10 million? Even if the average American family could retire with $500K and smart investments, I'm a greedy punk who's afraid to fight the best unless I get way more money than they get."

I love RJJ, and believe he's a top 10 all-time p4p fighter based on his achievements. He's also been far more congenial in his negotiations with JoeCal than was B-Hop. So no disrespect to him, but Calzaghe deserves to be in the same breath. He's legit. Calling his fans babies or whatever doesn't change that. Your opinions matter no more than theirs.

SOOOOOOOO what your actually saying is that by Joe Calzaghe fighting Roy Jones Jr instead of KELLY PAVLIK makes him have a "heart of a champion"... lol way off man.... Joe is in it for the MONEY just as EVERY fighter is..... Joe stated he didn't want to fight jones because of speed and power, Jones stated he didn't want Joe because he was a NOBODY and there was NO MONEY involved....NOW which excuses has the "heart of a champion"????????? Hey I'm glad hes fighting roy jones. Even though he said he wouldn't UP UNTIL Pavlik beat the **** out of that JOKE lockett..
