It would've happened if Roy was willing to fight him.

Who said it had to be on Joes terms? Everyone knows Roy was notoriously difficult to negotiate with not Joe.
Every #1 P4P fighter is going to be difficult to negotiate with because they have all the pull.

I really don't understand how Joe C can leave the UK only 3 times out of 45 fights and not be considered someone who stays at home. Eubank and Benn fought all over the world, from South Africa to Ireland to New Jersey. THATS fighting all over the world. Joe just took vacations.

Please just open your eyes to your own ignorance.

But a man who defends the Super Middleweight Belt 21 times, unifies the division twice, is not worthy of a shot at Roy Jones.

        Laughable stuff.
Pavlik is fighting the best competition in the world and knocking them out. Hes the undisputed champion and his career is only just beginning. I never said Calzaghe didn't deserve a chance at Jones I said he didn't want it bad enough to make it happen and come to terms. He was comfortable.

I'll happily admit some of them are ****. But when the big boys dont wanna fight you then you have to stay busy.

Calzaghe wasnt in a position to fight whoever he wanted like Jones was. So that is a really lame argument.

Yeah and Roy still wasnt keen on Eubank or Benn so its pretty fair to see who didnt want the fight.

            Open YOUR eyes.

the big boys didn't want to fight him? lol. all calzaghe had to do is call them out and any of the so called 'big boys' would've answered his call. I've never heard of anyone holding a belt and being avoided. its usually high risk low reward fighters that are avoided. calzaghe was known as a low risk high reward fighter.

                Gary Lockett?

                Double standards.

Joe wanted the fight. Jones didnt like the risk/reward. Its as simple as that.

You should happily admit all of them are ****. The big boys didn't know who Calzaghe was. Why else was Jeff Lacy favored to beat Calzaghe? No one gave a **** about Calzaghe, he was fighting bums.

                  Talk about contradicting yourself.

Calzaghe WAS in a position to fight whomever he wanted, and he wanted all of the mediocre talent the shallow gene pool in the UK could throw at him.

He did call them out - Jones, Hopkins, Tarver. Hopkins answered the call then changed his mind. Roy's phone went straight to the answering machine.
