42 out of 45 profession Calzaghe fights fought in the UNITED KINGDOM. Once in Denmark, once in Germany, and finally, once in America.

Not sure how fighting every champion between middleweight and heavyweight translates into never taking risks...

I'm sure he is. I was trying to be tactful by calling it a payday instead of talking about how he ducked Pavlik for a fight he didn't want almost a decade ago.

Joe C/Warren was reluctant to leave the UK because they make a sizeable amount of money fighting deadbeats here and thats the honest truth.

If was also difficult for the top guys from america to take him serious when he feel like he has more power to negiotate for fights with them, People like RJJ or B-hop would have never sat down to discuss a fight with Joe c 5 years ago but they're all desperate now for a big fight so much that they would listen to anything Joe C has to say.

And he has some how past this prime by 'retiring' right?

Thats leaving out the fact that he fought in England against English fighters.

Calzaghe did leave the UK. Jones never left America. So it amuses me when people say that Calzaghe was not willing to come to America to fight Jones.

The honest truth is a beautiful thing.

Absolutely correct. Joe wasn't even on their radar and the way he was acting like his paper title was something to chase after was ridiculous.

                    Every champion?

Sorry Im virtually pissing myself with laughter. He never fought Benn, Eubank, McClellan, Collins, Calzaghe, Dariusz M who were all bigger threats than the guys he was fighting.

Oh well I'm glad you added that he fought against the English. Solid point.

Jones never needed to leave America. America has the largest boxing talent pool in the world and all skilled fighters from other countries come here to make their mark. You keep showing your ignorance with every post, refer to Ray Corey's post above as to why Jones never wanted to fight Joe.
