About even. That should have been an option on the poll.

Agreed. Pavlik has a lot more to prove. Looking devastating against Gary Lockett isn't the same thing as taking apart Erik Morales.

Both fighters punch well with both hands. Pavlik is the prototype, technical puncher. He uses a good jab and throws effective power shots behind that jab. Kelly and Wlad K actually remind me of each other a bit, it's just that Wladimir is a better athlete. both guys love to use that left hook, right cross combination and both use it well. Pavlik is a very good body puncher when he throws to the body. Pacquiao has stepped up his body attack in the last 3-4 years as well. Pacquiao and Pavlik have shown that they are patient fighters. Pacquiao isn't some guy that needs to blow you out with his power in order to be successful anymore.
Pavlik doesn't have a punch in his arsenal that is as odd looking as Pacquiao's overhand right hook.

The one he hurt your boy Morales with.

Tarver is the only other fighter in boxing who throws the overhand right hook.

          He stunned Roy with it.

Lets see how great Pavlik is outside of the USA and out of his comfort zone.

Pac-Man right now, though when Pavlik has the same amount of experience as Pac then make the poll again and it will probably be a different outcome.

Besides his satanic power, Pavlik hasn't shown me much in terms of punch variety.

                He fights very basic.
False, he just uses what works. Pavlik often takes the openings his opponents leave for him. I think he looked a bit more ordinary (in his punch variety) against Taylor, but Taylor was open for the jab/right hand all night.

Just look at the combination he finished Miranda with. He's primarily a jab - right hand - left hook type of fighter, but he effectively mixes in uppercuts and a two fisted body attack as well.

i'd say pac right now. he impressed me this last fight with both the right and upper cut and his balance. looks way more polished then a couple of years ago

                    Pacquiao by far

and he always will be... Pavlik's peak will be no match for Pacman's peak

I voted Pac as Pavlik is still very much a work in progress. Pac has reached his peak but Pavlik is still a couple years away from his. Pavlik is showing a little more each fight though and is already showing some great things in the ring. Pac already has a solid all around game, has good speed, power and 2nd to none tenacity. He remains a power force.

I consider Pavlik boxings best finisher as when he gets a guy hurt, he stays patient and bombards them with accuracy. Classic stuff.

Pavlik is improving a lot in his overall patience and stature in the ring. His timing, defense and footwork are improving each fight and he is slowly becoming a monster in there. It will be interesting on how far he will go. His lack of speed, is the only thing preventing him from becoming a very special fighter IMO. Some people will claim he has a bad chin. His chin is fine. The only time he was ever really hurt, it was more due to his own ******ity and allowing himself to get hit with multiple bombs by Taylor.
