I don't know if you would count this but I thought the Cotto vs. Urkal fight was stopped too early. I really think he could have lasted 12 rounds. It wasn't stopped by the ref though so this may not apply to your thread.

Tyson vs Ruddock.

That wasn't stopped prematurely. Ruddock was wobbling and looked as if he was in La La Land, his hands were down and he was pretty much wobled back to the ropes. He couldn't defend himself and Tyson would of landed who knows how many punches.

He didn't get a chance to continue, he had his wits about him because he was talking to Steele right after Steele waved it off, Ruddock was doing a good job of holding onto Tyson when he needed to in the fight, he could have done the same thing here.

do u consider the Eubank v Benn stoppage premature then?

Been out, so sorry couldn't answer this earlier mate. I was there at the fight and gutted at the time, but it was definately the right time to stop the fight.

As Silencers said he couldn't defend himself, arms were down and he would have got seriously hurt. Whereas Lewis' legs were gone but his eyes were clear and he protested with the ref straight away.

I think everyone here would agree about Castillo-Corrales I. I just think it was a little ridicolous, how Chico was knocked down twice in 30 seconds, and given the chance to come back and fight, but as soon as Castillo took a few good shots against the ropes the fight was stopped. Amazing fight however, and I do think if it wasn't stopped, Corrales would have downed him, and finished him off anyways.
