I disagree as well... there is no possible point in the match where you can make a fair brightline on when it is too late to stop the fight. If the fight is still going and a fighter isn't answering questions about whether he is okay or not, he loses by TKO.

Not stopping a fight because there isn't enough time left in the match is giving someone a free pass to get TKO'd in the last 10 seconds, but to not have to deal with the pain of losing a fight by TKO, because they lasted until the last 10 seconds.

Literally, if the fight isn't over, you are in danger of being TKO'd if you are hurt IMO.

I've seen both the fights multiple times and IMO Sosa took more punishment and deserved to be stopped more than Manfredy.
Manfredy at least stumbled back once from a punch... He kind of fell into the ropes if I remember right.

I haven't seen the Sosa fight in a while, but I thought it looked a lot like the Manfredo fight... my memory might need jogged though.

Yeah its just my opinion but I thought Sosa got clocked with a fair few clean shots and wasn't answering with a whole lot. I know that is the way he fought and for that reason maybe he shouldn't have been stopped but I don't think it was the worst stoppage in history and I definately think he was hurt to an extent.

On the Floyd-Manfredy fight, the class differential was obviously so massive that it didn't matter and perhaps the referee took this into account in stopping it but it just didn't look like he got hit with enough clean shots to be stopped. Especially seeing he hadn't been down. A lot of Floyd's punches were either missing or being blocked. I dunno, I would have let it go on a little longer, I don't think Manfredy deserved to be stopped there.

Steele reached the count of 8 somewhere around 8 seconds left in the fight I think and could of let the the fighters continue with about 6 seconds left, enough time for JC to get accross the ring and land enough punches to do more damage.

I blame Duva and not Steele, don't think the fight was fixed in any way and genuinly believe he had the fighters best interests at heart.

Brilliant shout, the perfect example of a fight being stopped to soon.

Chavez-Taylor 1 probably isn't the best of picks but I think Taylor could have went on for 8 seconds, we'll never know and as I said, I just wanted him to have that win.

The flurry starts at 6:12 with the huge uppercut Mayweather lands and then ends at 6:27 with Mayweather landing some vicious shots in between. Manfredy was not throwing back and like falling through the ropes. When Floyd started landing all those hooks and Manfredy was going back and forth and basically moving into hook to hook.

                  Good stoppage imo.

He deserved that win and fought with so much skill and pride. I can see why people got angry at the stoppage, because it looked like Taylor had done all the work and Chavez got lucky, but Chavez wore down Taylor brilliantly and the majority of his work went un-noticed to most of the fans watching the fight.
