    Good stoppage imo.
Yeah, maybe you are right. I dunno, it just didn't seem like he got caught enough to be stopped for mine. He wasn't throwing back though, at all.

Personally I'd have given Manfredy a little longer, but it's not a bad stoppage IMO.

I agree, Taylor was throwing 4 or 5 punches at a time with about 2 landing when they were on the inside, Chavez would throw 2 subtle shots at a time and it eventually wore Taylor down towards the end of the fight but the stoppage was definitely questionable.

Would it have mattered? If I remember correctly he was pretty out of it.

What's everyones thoughts on the Oliver McCall stoppage of Lennox Lewis. I'm going to be contraversial here and say I think it was stopped a little to early.

Lewis was definately hurt, and wobbling when the ref waved it off, but he was up at 6 and I think deserved to be given the chance to continue even if only for another 10 seconds.

No-one would have complained if the ref had stopped Holmes in the first Shavers fight and had that been stopped how many would have thought Holmes would weather the storm and come back to win.

Maybe I'm just saying this because Lewis is one of my favourite fighters and still find it hard to take that he got beat by McCall. Likely outcome had it continued is he got beat but I believe even though his legs were wobbling he had it togeather in his head and could of held on and moved away to survive and eventually win. But maybe I'm being biased to one of my favourite fighters.

I've had some premature finishes that I wished hadn't ended so fast.

It was a questionable call, Lewis got up, got his arms up but he was stumbling a bit and leaned on the referee, I think it was a judgment call from the referee but I would have let it go on because Lewis' eyes were clear.
