floyd was never liked ( by most people ) because of his fighting( boring) style and his BIG mouth .... winky was boring ( great fighter with tremendous skills but was boring ) and if you got pizzaz winky that DRAWS people not shoo them away.... EVERYBODY has favorites .... we are humans we all have things we like and dont like .... just because you become a commentator doesnt mean that you have to like all boxers .... in any case floyd will always be a big mouth .... he was one of the best fighters in his time but not the greatest for he didnt fight the best he fought the washed up ( dlh) and the people he had a real good chance of beating ... ( baldomir , hatton ) AND now he talks about pacquiao .....calling him a "bum" but wouldnt step in the ring with him .... and saying cotto not in the same league .... the guy should have been a girl

I personally don't find Winky and Floyd boring at all. Perhaps some of you that do should learn more about boxing in that it's not all about brawn and force.

I had no idea the Gatti, Corrales, Hernandez, Judah, Hatton, Ndou, Augustus, Trinidad, Taylor fights were boring.

Frankly speaking most of you that say this aren't satisfied if it isn't some slugger in there and I don't think race has a component in it as Mike Tyson adopted this style in his post prison career (he stopped moving his head slipping punches and reverted to merely loading up on his right hand).

That said, so glad Casamayor knocked out Katsidis, so glad Nate Campbell walked throw Diaz. Both of these guys were deemed as "TV FRIENDLY" fighters and you see what happened to them when they faced someone with some legitimate boxing skills..

You can say what you want about Floyd and Winky playing the 'race card'. But lets not act as if HBO presents totally fair and unbiased calls during their broadcast.

They're trying to dumb down boxing imo to compete with MMA for people with short attention spans that don't understand why having a good jab will do you more good than having a powerful right hand.

It's funny how two black men, one is no longer the p4p king, he's been overthrown by a Filipino in Manny Pacquio getting all the praise he truly deserves, a much more exciting fighter than he is and lil' prince Mayweather goes and throws a tantrum by using the racial card since that's the only way he's going to get any attention these days, typical reaction of a black.

I have boxed and I haven't been paid. I think criticism is warranted when a fighter being paid a TREMENDOUS amount of money to get in the ring and fight is happy to cruise to a victory against an opponent who they are dominating. This money comes from the people who bought the PPV who are watching the fight. Without the spectators boxing may as well be outside a nightclub.

if HBO disregards Black fighters then why did they pump up Jermain Taylor after he defeated B Hop?... And why did HBO ride the coat tail of Roy Jones Jr. all of those years. Floyd's comments make little sense to me. But that is just my opinion.
