Floyd Mayweather Takes a Shot at Pacquiao, Boxing's Best

No son, Cotto is more proven. Margarito isn't. Even tough I belive Margarito will beat Cotto

Both Cotto and Margarito sport better resumes at 147, it isn't even debateable. Williams resume at 147 is comparabe. Shanes, better. Clottey and Collazo have fought at least as good of comp at 147 as Floyd. Cintron, his resume at 147 is close to Floyds. All these guys have or are fighting one another, yet Floyd didn't fight any of them. All were/are worthy fighters, some more than others.....yet Floyd didn't fight any of them. Fight fans don't expect him to fight all these guys, but hell, if you say you are the best at least fight bsome of them. Thats my problem with Floyd. He wants to pick and choose instead of just fighting bthe best available. Thats weak.

lol nicely put, but IMO Mayweather is not really retired, just his way of building up a MEGA FIGHT..... I mean think about it. A guy is # 1 P4P and retires with anther guy undefeated like him waiting for a shot, of course he will get flack for doing that. BUT this is where he comes out of retirement to fight that undefeated fighter. TALKING ABOUT A MEGA FIGHT. You know how much "MONEY" would be involved in that. There is WAY to much cash flow in a Cotto fight for him to not want in on it. You'll see, he'll be back and take on a fight with COTTO. Cotto just needs to win on the 26th or you can kiss the chance of him fighting Mayweather goodbye.

Let me ask you something, with all do respect. As a boxing fan what is more important to you, seeing the best take on the best? Or worrying if its gonna be a "mega" fight or not?
Personally, I want the best guys fighting each other. I don't care if its on ESPN 2 or HBO PPV, just give me the best.

PBF fans forget or just don't wanna acknowledge that PBF himself got the #1 spot by process of elimination. Roy Jones and Hopkins had to get beat before he was bumped up to the top P4P spot. Pac arguably overtook him in the minds of a lotta people back in '06. I agreed he shoulda been #1 then, but he blew it wit a stale '07 while PBF was blowin up wit 2 megafights. But his title win at LW while PBF was waitin to face DLH again shoulda made Pac #1 whether PBF was still around or not.

Only point I was making was even though PAC is a great fighter Mayweather GAVE him that spot of #1 P4P. I think Mayweather got it once like you stated Jones and Hopkins where "BEATEN". So the next best fighter (Mayweather) was #1. As you know PBF was NEVER beaten to give up his P4P stat, he just gave it away. Anyway taking nothing from PAC.... WELL DESERVED... PBF will be back. You dont need to be beaten to lose the #1p4p spot. P4P is a trophy. Not a title that needs to be defended. Wit that said...as in any p4p list. Only what you have done in the last couple of years should count. And within the past few years...Mayweather has only fought 1 legitimate challenger in Ricky Hatton while the rest were stepping stones. I do believe that if Pacquiao had not been in that legal battle with Top Rank and GBP Pacquiao would have had quality fights in 07 that would have had him take the top spot from Floyd regardless of Floyd's unbeaten record.

Dude I want the BEST VS THE BEST. When I'm speaking about all this MEGA FIGHT stuff I'm referring to Mayweater's logic. Of course I want the best vs. the best. Mayweather will fight the best too if the "MONEY" is right. Like I stated I think the fight will happen and it will be a "MEGA FIGHT" with lots and lots of cash involved. IMO Mayweather will return and fight Cotto with a BIG pay day and then really retire with an unblimshed record. IMO
