This statement bothers me because when people say again and again that Taylor had his hands and was ready to fight is .....FALSE!!!!!!!!!!He doesn't let go of the ropes and is basically holding himself up with them.......so just think if @ the standing 8 count Steele would have asked him to walk to him? Taylor didn't let go of the ropes until about 20 after getting up when they sat him down!!!!!Even when Lou jumped in the ring, Taylor was still holding onto them ropes!!!! So to clarify my point ......TAYLOR NEVER HAD HIS HANDS UP!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!

Exactly. Taylor won the battle most definitely lost the war. Since Duva jumped up on the apron, it should have technically been a DQ. It is a hard situation, but I can definitely understand why Steele did what he did, it just sucks that it was 2 seconds before the end.

Richard Steele Should Be Doing 5 1/2 TO 15 Years In Prison For Robbery In The First Degree For What He Did That Night

And they have the nerve to complain about the Soto-Lorenzo fight? This double standard is getting really funny. The fact is only Chavez's fans are saying it wasn't a robbery.

the only people that say it was a robbery are the people who feel bad for Taylor, which is understandable. Taylor was in no way able to continue and you cant expect a ref to judge how long it might take the other fighter to come over and hit him again, a championship fight is 36 minutes and Taylor got beat within that time and thats all that matters., Duva jumped up causing Taylor to look at him rather than the ref, so if you want to blame anybody, blame Duva, not Steele. Also, okay maybe Taylor wins a decision but who really won the fight, its not that hard to see.

How the hell did he save a mans life who wouldn't have been hit again anyway? All he saved him from was winning a title fight.

so if that happend in the first ten seconds of that round, he was okay to continue??? everybody that says it was a robbery says, oh he wouldve never got hit so he shouldve let those few seconds go by.. bottom line is within the 36 minutes Taylor was put into a situation where he could no longer continue, which is why Chavez beat him that night.
