This poll should be public so we can laugh at whoever picked Roy Jones.

So just because YOU don't agree with the rankings, you have taken it upon yourself to declare the title vacant?

Yanks amaze me more and more everyday.

Erm..If it wasn't Tarver, and it wasn't Hopkins, thus meaning it is not Calzaghe, who was the best?

i think its hard to say a guy is the best at a weight after only 1 fight there,

            ill go with tarver,

i think he can beat anybody on that list,

imo its out of tarver and calzaghe - jones or dawson are the only other 2 worth considering imo but jones fought a blown up welterweight and dawson didn't look like he was all that in his last fight.

hopkins lost to calzaghe and i dont think he could beat tarver or maybe even anyone else on that list if they where to fight.

i think most people would agree that calzaghe could beat tarver quite easily, if the 2 fighters do ever face off then i can easily see joe wining a UD with a few rounds to spare.

the problem is that hes only had one fight at that weight if calzaghe were to fight tarver and beat him then i think he would be considered the genuine article at LHW as well, problem is he wants to go out with a **** against RJJ.

if calzaghe beats RJJ convincingly then i can see him being recognised by his haters as well asthe number 1 in that division.

I never said it makes british fighters overall better than Americans, I said the opposite, I also said that the current best LHW is british, and you said Roy or Dawson could beat him, so I made a thread to see results.

I still think roy or dawson could beat him. I don't see how calzaghe beating a really old hopkins makes him the best LHW. that makes no sense.
