Dawson is the best light heavyweight both skill and accomplishments wise. There is no way you can have one fight in the division over a 43 year Hopkins and expect to be the best light heavyweight. Dawson has done more in the division and is cleary the better light heavyweight.

I know, but it was very extreme to where you said, "it doesn't make sense to put Calzaghe #1" That's a pretty strong opinion, basically saying it's wrong to have Calzaghe #1.

That is a wildly biased opinion I'm afraid. Hopkins was the Ring champ, ranked P4P and seen as the man. Also, Dawson hasn't done anything better than Tarver has, and his biggest win at the weight is not as good as Joe's is.

I don't know if I put it like that. I thought I was pretty clear in stating that he beat an old hopkins so how does that make him the best LHW. its his only LHW fight to date.

Eric Harding was ranked 10# by the ring magizine when Dawson beat him.
Adamek was ranked #5 by the ring magizine when Dawson beat him and was the WBC light heavyweight champion. Glen Johnson was ranked at #3 when Dawson beat him. Where am i biased? Dawson beat the best names(Other than Tarver and Johnson but both have been on the lossing end) and its fair for Calzaghe to be ranked at number 1? Even when he has only beaten a 43 year champion which was his only fight in the division? No offense to you at all but thats make exactly no sense to me.

You said right there, how can he be the best LHW by beating Hopkins, that makes no sense, I'm gonna say this for the last time, Hopkins was the man to beat, that's why it makes sense for Calzaghe to be #1, PBF moved to WW, he only had a few fights on WW, but he was considered the man to beat, even though there were people with better resumes than him at WW.

You know I agree with you that Dawson actually is the best of the current crop at LHW, but the fact remains that Calzaghe has the best win at the weight. Yes Hopkins was 43 but he was the Ring champ and he was the highest ranked LHW. Basically its as simple as that.

Dawson has more, but Calzaghe has the best. Shouldn't really have called you biased though, sorry.

Yes, Mayweather had a FEW fights at welterweight. Calzaghe only had one fight in the division and now hes ranked over guys that accomplished more there and actually earned their spots? I have never heard anything like that before.

When PBF beat Baldomir, the man to beat at the time, wasn't he considered #1 in WW?
