Mayweather adjusted and that lead opening dissapeared, i think you are severely underrating mayweathers ability to adjust.

i can never pick a winner in this fight because i dont want to, the fight would be incredibly boring with each person trying to wait for an opening. it would be incredibly defensive and you all would be asleep.

Who cares if Zab was a problem for Floyd, he lost. Floyd is a problem for whitaker. Roger Mayweather was a problem for whitaker. You have no point. Sometimes it takes rounds to solve a fighter's style. It only counts who wins in the end. There isn't a fighter on this planet who has never had promblems with a fighter early in the fight, unless that fighter isn't facing top notch opposition.

Man, this is the the 4th thread about this I have seen. And I think it's great. If your a "BLOOD AND GUTS WARRIOR" Jim Lampley type, then this fight wouldn't be for you.
If you want to see two gifted technical fighters, then this matchup could be a boxing geeks wet dream.

Whitaker would have been a bad style matchup for Floyd with his jab, body attack and obvious ability to exchange while avoiding punches.

Whitaker on his best night was an impossible puzzle to solve. I can't see any other Lightweight or Junior Welterweight beating him at his best.

Floyd is a great fighter though. He was very skilled and was dedicated to training. Whitaker lacked that type of dedication at the end of his career.

But Floyd would have been the fastest, most coordinated and most athletic fighter that Pea faced. There's a big difference in ducking Chavez and Ramirez' punches...and trying to slip Floyd's punches.

If Roger can hit Pea, then Floyd can hit Pea.

I highly disagree with that. Mayweather accuracy and punch land led him to put fighters out. I seen Whitaker throw that left straight once and drop fighters.
