I think Leonard won, Hagler lost the fight by coming out orthodox in the first 3 rounds.

That fight needed a rematch nearly as much as Lewis vs. Vitali.

hate to say it but just watching the video and no scoring i thought marvin squeaked out. i was happy with the decision though......

i have it on dvd and when i get a chance i'll try scoring it round by round. funny that i've had it on dvd for so many years and i watched it so many times since i was a kid but i never bothered to score it round by round.

I see your point. But at least the Lewis fight was stopped on cuts. It wasn't a close decision that could have gone either way, even though Vitali was winning. It was a stoppage. Rematches in both cases would have been Ideal.

Vitali was putting the heat on Lewis as the stoppage occurred. A cuts stoppage is always unfullfilling when you have a fight that's so undecided.

As for Leonard, well in the build-up to the fight he kept reiterating: "This is not a career for me. It's just ONE fight". So no surprise that the rematch never came.

I'm a Hagler fan but SRL won the fight.

Touche`.... I guess I'm just showing my bias for Lewis and Hagler. I think Hagler and Klitschko both would have won rematches. I'm only human, I can't help but have a biased opinion at times.. At least I can admit it...

Also, I was just little kid when the Hagler vs. Leonard fight happened so I don't know all of the details. Was it Hagler that refused to fight Leonard again? I know Leonard fought a few times after he fought Hagler.. Please excuse my ignorance on the subject.

Hagler wanted an immediate rematch but Leonard didn't give him one so Hagler retired.
