I've seen the fight about 5-6 times & I have Hagler winning by 2 rounds. Sugar Ray played smart and coasted through the rounds until the final 30 seconds where he would throw an array of combos to steal the rounds.

But I don't think that was enough to beat then Middleweight champ Hagler.
It wasn't a highway robbery, but nonetheless a disputed loss.

which means that Hagler should have won IMO, people forget just how tired Leonard was and how many warnings Richard Steele gave him for holding, he also hit Hagler after the bell on 2 seperate occasions so IMO should have had at least 1 point deduction during the course of the fight.

I've seen this fight countless amounts of time and I have Leonard winning every time, even when I "try" to give rounds to hagler.

Some people get hella pissed off, swearing up and down halger won the fight. I just don't see it. Also, lots of rounds were close and it was a close fight, so no need to get your panties in a bunch and scream robbery.

Sugar won 7-5 easy. 115-113 Hagler could not hit Leonard clean. He really had only won one clear round with punches, and that was the 9th. Leonard even came back in that round.

Sorry, but what warnings are you talking about? What fight was this in? If he wasn't penalized, don't remind us of your opinion.

When I watched the fight live I didnt score it, but I thought that SRL won quite comfortably.

I have rewatched the fight countless times since and I feel the fight is somewhat closer than what I thought originally. I still say Leonard won, and I honestly cannot see Hagler winning.
