There is a reason Paul Williams is fighting way under his natural weight, because he couldnt handle being with people of the likes of pavlik, taylor, miranda, and other big strong middleweights.

Gotta say that as good as Williams's chin is... he wouldn't like being hit so hard by Pavlik, and his workrate would be ****ED.

Margarito iced his workrate in the later rounds, I think Pavlik would probably do it moreso.

Additionally, even though Williams showed some **** in his last fight, I find it hard to believe that he is going to be able to hit hard enough to really limit Pavlik's workrate.

People talk about Williams fighting below his natural weight, but some guys are freakishly skinny, in the same way that a guy like Tyson is naturally well-built.

I know that Williams puts on weight in between the weigh in and the fight, but so do a lot of boxers, and the fact is that very few could be as light as Williams is for his height without suffering serious strength and stamina loss.

If Williams is going to succeed as MW he should take it slowly. Step up to LMW, grow into it for at least 2 fights. Then go to MW and fight someone who isn't the best in the division. Then he'll know how good he can be at 160.

Many boxers take a couple of fights to grow into a new weight division. It would take even longer if stepping up 2 weight divisions, even if you are very tall for your weight.
