Jirov and Toney are both Mexicans. honory Mexicans.

I really odnt understand Lederman. now, if one guy is not engaging and running, I can understand how you could be tempted to give it to the other guy for his aggression, even if he wasnt being effective. but Toney was standing there the whole time landing bombs, and throwing around 70 punches a round. what the hell, haha.

Jirov's punch output was impressive though. and he could really dig to the body. the guy had a bunch of early knockout body shots. and this fight was one of the only times Ive ever seen Toney uncomfortable about a body shot, in that 3rd/2nd round.
this was a great fight, not only because of the action but the skill involved. crazy stuff.

James Toney is one of the greats IMO. Maybe not toward the top of the list, but he's on the list and i think u'll agree with me there.

There was a time when i respected James Toney more then any other athlete in the world.

Just naturally talented. He was so relaxed that even when he was over weight, he could go 12.

And rumors are that Toney is in very good shape, and may be in great shape for his fight with Rahman

Answer me now... How are you deciding your FOTY frontrunner bet?

I'm soooo damn curious and neither your or Warp will answer me!
u mean who do i think will win?

I gotta go with Cotto by Decision. Marg will be there all night long, and his uppercut promises to give Cotto a few scary moments, but Cottos jab should help him through the fight.

And Margarito is to slow to make Cotto pay for some of his biggest mistakes, but Cotto is more then fast enough to make Marg pay.

I could see a late round stoppage for Cotto, but i think Marg is just to damn tough to let it happen.

5k that Cotto-Marg is the leading FOTY candidate by July 27th

It'll be pretty obvious won't it? And if we are spilt, then we'll go to a poll and ask the public I guess. I just don't see this fight being better then Vasquez-Marquez 3

The only way i dont think it'll be a FOTY candidate is if it turns one-sided one way or the other.

But no matter what happens, the action is going to be fierce.

Im banking on the fact that Cotto is the more talented fighter and is going to win the rounds, but Margaritos mochismo and mexican fighter style will keep the action at a ferocious pace.

I think it will have to be pretty drastic in order for one of you to vote for the other guy, because you will lose points.

But yeah, that's all I wanted to know.
