Did Floyd fans forget that at 2yrs ago, Floyd said that Cotto was still too green and needed a few more fights under his belt b4 he would consider fighting him??? How did Cotto duck Floyd, when Floyd wasnt even interested in fighting him???

It's been mentioned before on hbo when cotto was fighting...but let me guess you want the youtube video to that too to believe it. Did you also know hatton and shane mosely turned down a floyd fight? Did you know mosely turned down a margarito fight? Or is youtube, boxingscene and "a link" all you know about boxing.
Buddy, I know more about boxing than you'll ever know. I do remember that Arum stated that Cotto was not ready, but that was not in response to an interest in Mayweather wanting to fight him or an offer to fight, it was in response to a QUESTION in regards to fighting Mayweather. An offer to is much different... dont you know the difference? In fact I do remember that Mayweather stated himself that he wouldnt fight Cotto becuase Cotto wasnt "ready for him".

Also, how was there ever an offer for Cotto to fight Mayweather if they both had the same promoter at the time... The promoter is the one that makes negotiations dumb-ass... If Arum wanted it, and Mayweather was willing, it would have been made.

Anyway, the point is that all Mayweather has done is make excuses when asked to fight Cotto. Everything from "Cotto doenst have a big enough fan base" to "I dont make business with Arum" to "I have nothing else to prove".

Did you know that Mayweather turned down an offer to fight Margarito?

Just wondering because there are a lot of Floyd hate going on here. Why does Cotto get a free pass by turning down a Mayweather fight? But Floyd has been talking about retirement for a few years, retires, and they call him a *****. I swear, hypocrites at their best.
yeah floyd called out cotto two years ago because it would have been an easy win for mayweather.

Miguel Cotto has advanced in a major way since then.

NOW cotto could fight mayweather and it would be a close, tough fight.

Not two years ago...two years ago it wouldnt have even been a fair fight...

remember that margarito offered floyd 7million dollars to fight him and floyd turned it down...

and ALSO remember that floyd offered to fight cotto when cotto wasnt even close to being a NAME...now that cotto is a name floyd doesnt want any part of it.

You obviously have no idea what an offer is. I never acted like I knew who said what, originally, I stated that Cotto was never offered a fight with Mayweather, and that is the case... Cotto and Mayweather were both under Arum, the promoter is the one who makes the deal and if Arum didnt want Cotto to fight Mayweather then he wouldnt have wanted to make the deal.... To my knowledge Cotto has NEVER been offered a chance to fight with floyd which has never allowed him or his promoter (which also happened to be Mayweathers promoter at the time ) to decline the offer. SO what you are saying just doesnt make sense.

              Oh and ...
"Mayweather rejected an offer of US$8 million to fight Antonio Margarito and split with promoter Bob Arum for the possibility of a superfight with Oscar de la Hoya.[29] De la Hoya, however, postponed his decision until 2007, leaving Mayweather in the awkward position of choosing his next opponent, while deflecting accusations that he had ducked Margarito.[30] Mayweather considered moving up in weight again to fight junior middleweight champion Cory Spinks, but because of negative publicity and Spinks' impending mandatory defense of his title, he finally decided to face WBC and The Ring welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir on November 4, 2006 in Las Vegas."

i find it funny that people always think that they owned someone. just because you put doesnt mean ****. Cotto wants no part of Floyd. He said NO at 140 and will not even come close to saying anything relatively close to Floyd or Mayweather.

                  Cotto didnt, but Margarito did.
He woulda lost, but he wanted a chance at that.

I'll give you that. But really, and I loke Margs ALOT, did he really deserve a shot at Floyd? He beat Cintron, and that was it. He really didnt deserve a fight with Floyd. he was doing what David Haye is doing to Wlad. Just talking. I like Haye, but there is no way he should get a shot at Wlad right now, when there are other champions who have worked their way up to a title fight. Same with Margs at the time.

Cotto was and is still and will probably always be bigger than Margarito.

why would he want to fight Cotto over Margo anyway at that time?
                      see above

and why doesnt Floyd want to fight Cotto now?
                      cause he's retired.
