At the end of the day when Calzaghe is in the ring he FIGHTS!!! that is his job right now damit!!!...im sure he is in on this **** too...love him or hate him he's a ****en business man...after all thats what PROfessional boxing is...a BUSINESS!!!! Loew really has a point, joe's father witnessed first hand how his fighter was demolished by pavlik. In fact, joe's father threw the towel because he cannot withstand to see the senseless beating of lockett...what more if it was joe who is in that situation, his very own son!

this is a ridiculous statement ... it basically means that you are comparing Joe Calzaghe with Gary Lockett .... this is just wrong .... Joe is quite obviously the far superior fighter, Lockett was a domestic/european level fighter at best ... Joe is the linear champ and 2 weight champ ... no comparison

I agree with Jack Loew. However I dont think it was the lockett fight that scared them away. It was more the high risk of losing Joes 0 to a younger and stronger fighter. As for Pavlik cleaning up the division in 4 rounds, I think Jack is underestimating Arthur Abraham. While Pavlik would be the favorite in a Ghost vs AA match, I dont think he will finish it in 4 rounds or by a KO/TKO seeing as how AA survived 8 round with a broken Jaw and none other then power-punching Miranda trying to finish him off.
