I look at it this way. Ive heard alot of people on here who dont like to think that a "white boy" can really be a very good fighter. He has to be over protected or he never fights anyone, or they think he loses every fight no matter what. Him not being American hurts him with US boxing fans, but the "white boy" thing is what sinks him. HBO gives Wlad the credit he deserves, and people claim that HBO is just "on his sack" or whatever because he is "the great white hope". Some people just dont want to see what is right in front of them. Is he the best since Ali? Nope. Is he better then he will ever get credit for in the American media? **** yes he is. Would he be considered a great if he was American and black? Yeah, I think he would. I really think he could be undefeated and KO everyone he ever fought, and the same people would still discredit him. No matter what.

An 88% knockout against overmatched opposition especially with such a cautious style is not necessarily something to brag about.

I think it's a very good KO percentage! Wlad's fought all contenders since early 2000, including several world title holders.

Your man Hatton's 44-1 record against hand-picked opponents is nothing to brag about. When you consider his opposition - old past prime fighters like Castillo and Tszyu, or mediocre ones like Lazcano and Tackie - I'd say Hatton's record is mediocre. He's fought only ONE prime age, world-class opponent, and was KOed! Kotelnik would box his ears off if they ever clash - but Hatton wouldn't fight him I'm sure.

its just that even though wlad has been the best hw since lewis retired, he isn't fighting top notch competition. and he is really boring when he is scared, which is every 2nd fight. how in the world can he be scared of ibragimov? that puzzled me for a while.

I'm not gonna say that wlad will lose to haye but if he was so chicken from ibragimov, imagine how much he will run from haye. he might look even more pathetic against haye. but hopefully he knows how good he really can be and put pressure.
