Maybe if he was American he wouldn't have got away with padding his record fighting chumps in Germany that constitute the vast majority of his resume.

Floyd is just like the bad guy in wrestling. Most people hate him because he wants them too, like I said. Sells more tickets and PPVs. Wlad on the other hand, has the complete opposite persona, he donates a ton of money to charities, starving people in Africa, etc, goes on talk shows and shows his funny side, is always gracious. Now he is completely judged on his last fight and is seen by most as an overrated, glass chinned joke.

The thread is false, he wouldn't be an ATG, though I certainly think he belongs in the top 50 HWs. But he would have more fans and we probably wouldn't call the HW division the worst ever in history, like a lot of journalists do, if he were American, I don't think race has anything to do with it.

Now that you bring up Marciano, a lot of people crap on his resume, saying he only fought LHWs and old guys. That he wouldn't last 30 seconds with someone like Tyson, because of his size. Though the same people think Tyson could beat Lennox Lewis, who has an even greater size advantage over Tyson.

Wlad is judged harshly. He just needs to get into a war and win it in devastating fashion like the other great champs did.
It's not all his fault. It takes two to make a war on the Tua-Ibaebuchi, Bowe-Holyfield, Ali-Frazier level.

I feel Wlad needs that kind of fight. Dare to be great, I guess or take the safe route and just keep winning doesn't seem to be enough for his critics.
