Wlad is judged harshly. He just needs to get into a war and win it in devastating fashion like the other great champs did.
It's not all his fault. It takes two to make a war on the Tua-Ibaebuchi, Bowe-Holyfield, Ali-Frazier level.

I feel Wlad needs that kind of fight. Dare to be great, I guess or take the safe route and just keep winning doesn't seem to be enough for his critics.

Well like Lennox said, there's not much you can do to improve your chin. Wlad doesn't have the chin for a Tua-Ibeabuchi type war, and after 53 professional fights, he's had to make a lot of adjustments in his style to prolong his career. He'd get some credit for beating Haye, but I think David would have to beat a couple of name HWs first and make a name for himself at HW.

Squealpiggy seems to have his own prejudice against Slavic people - he seems very partial to the mediocre British fighter, Ricky Hatton, and always disses East European boxers.

And yes I like Ricky Hatton, he comes from the next town over, supports the same football team, and if a two division titleholder and linear champion with a record of 44-1 is mediocre then you need a new dictionary.

If Wlad were black and American, the media and fans wouldn't be so hard on him. They loved Holyfield, but with all his losses and close decision wins, was he really so great? Wlad brutally KOs 88% of his opponents, and yet catches a lot of abusive criticism that Holyfield never got.

You're absolutely right, black people in America have things so easy, they don't have to struggle in the face of discrimination like poor white people.

Holyfield doesn't get the **** that Wlad does because Holyfield was a better fighter. Wlad is a very boring fighter who happens to be king in the worst heavyweight era in the history of the sport. He doesn't say much that is interesting, he doesn't do that much that is interesting. An 88% knockout against overmatched opposition especially with such a cautious style is not necessarily something to brag about.

Let's look at another fighter with a lot of knockouts: Rocky Marciano. He put everything on the line to try and knock over his opponents. He got over a size disadvantage and used workrate and heart to overcome bigger stronger guys. Wlad uses his height and reach to wear his opponents down. Anybody who is unintimidated by him wins, and wins by knocking him out.

And his fans are total idiots.

There isn't much to say about them. If these guys came of age in a period of decent heavyweights we wouldn't even be talking about them
