Kelly Pavlik vs Winky Wright....Who Wins??

There is on thing that holding Pavilk to surely win Winky is his speed.

I going to say Winky by close UD. Winky is a good counterpuncher.

As for power I think Winky has good power but he doesnt put his body into it as Pavilk does it because Winky is a defensive fighter. for Pavilk beware if he ever face a powerful counterpuncher which there isnt much at the MW

I dont like feather fisted fighters (Winky,Malignaggi,Spinks,etc.).....I like big punchers like Wlad and Pavlik.

Arum said he would like Wright to be Pavlik's next opponent, if Winky would just be more reasonable in his demands for money...

I thought he beat Taylor without his legs. He didn't move almost at all in that fight. All that bull**** about Taylor dominating in the middle of the ring just isn't very visible to my eyes, but that is just me.

Taylor doesn't carry as much power as Pavlik though and Winky was able to push Taylor back, something I don't think he'd be able to do against Pavlik.

I would have agreed with you a week ago, but I really don't think Pavlik is just a 1-2 fighter. He showed me a lot in the Lockett fight. Plenty of people have told me that he excercised a hell of a lot more punch variety in his fights with Zuniga and Zertuche as well.

The only thing that concerns me about this fight is the fact that more than a few Taylor right hands landed through the guard of Wright. If Pavlik can do that (with his much more active workrate than Taylor), he is probably going to win.

Basically how I see it. I mean I knew Pavlik could switch it up ocassionly, but not that much as he showed against Lockett.

Toss up fight imo.

Winky is a righty by nature....thats why his jab is so stiff but his left power shots are weak.....If he could be a switch up fighter he would have been better and had more power when throwing a straight right but he sticks to southpaw all the time.
