I doubt he stops him, but he has a very good chance of pulling the decision.

Really, I think this fight would be all about how much Winky has left.

If he has enough in the tank to win, he is going to counterpunch his way to a victory by blocking a lot of Pavlik's shots, like he did to Taylor (don't be fooled by the HBO commentary).

If his defense has slipped, as the rumors around the sport are, he is a dead man... but he probably still won't be stopped. His defensive guard, even if it isn't as effective as it used to be, will still absorb quite a bit of the impact from the shot, making it much tougher to KO him, and Winky has an incredible chin. He really does, even though it isn't seen very often.

By the way, I'm pretty damn split, but in the interest of showing loyalty to my favorite, I will say Winky gets a really close decision.

As much power as Pavlik has....I don't see him KOing Wink. Wink by UD because of experience and his defense. He'd pick Pavlik apart all night with his jab and defense.

I thought he beat Taylor without his legs. He didn't move almost at all in that fight. All that bull**** about Taylor dominating in the middle of the ring just isn't very visible to my eyes, but that is just me.

I would have agreed with you a week ago, but I really don't think Pavlik is just a 1-2 fighter. He showed me a lot in the Lockett fight. Plenty of people have told me that he excercised a hell of a lot more punch variety in his fights with Zuniga and Zertuche as well.

The only thing that concerns me about this fight is the fact that more than a few Taylor right hands landed through the guard of Wright. If Pavlik can do that (with his much more active workrate than Taylor), he is probably going to win.
