Only reason calzaghe manage to back him up was because of hes overwhelming amount of punches that hew throws, Kessler would be setting the pace if this fight happened imo.

Andrade backs up and doesn't have the knockout power and pin point accuracy that Pavlik does. Andrade is an in your face brawler that looks to out last his opponent. Pavlik is far more consistant, a harder puncher than Andrade and has the better weaponary. Using him as an example is completely irrelevant.

Pavlik's workrate is only a little bit worse than Calzaghe's and he hits way harder.

            Pavlik would annihilate Kessler.

Constant pressure and movement from Pavlik would be too much for Kessler who tends to be stationary at times which spells danger when fighting Pavlik who's work rate would be overwhelming.

Kessler is overrated IMO, Pavlik stops him in 9

People seem to be forgetting Kessler is a ****ing huge super middleweight, I seriously don't understand how he makes the weight.

                Kessler would kill Pavlik, literally.

Basically I pointed out that Kelly throws more punches per round than Kessler, which is a pretty significant difference. Also, although Kessler is always fit, I think Kelly has better stamina. He is as active in the 12th as he is in the 1st. And the heart and will factor is also significant, I think Kelly wins there. As for power, I just don't think Kessler is more powerful than Pavlik. There is no evidence whatsoever to back that up. Kelly's power could easily transfer to 168. So to say Kessler is just Pavlik+ is completely misguided. I picked Kelly in an entertaining UD.

P.S. All those Euros screaming bias by the Americans are complaining because we're not picking your guy Kessler, not because you want us to be more objective. Take a long look in the mirror.
This is a good statement, but please, apply the same logic to your post.

There is no evidence to back up the fact that Pavlik has better stamina. In fact, the opposite is true. Kessler outworked and beat Calzaghe in round 12, and Calzaghe has among the best stamina in the game, certainly better than Pavliks.

Pavlik may well have more heart and will than Kessler, but again, unproven.

Kelly's power could transfer easily to 168? Even though it looked lacklustre at 166 against a man we know for a fact can't take his punches?

I have no problem with any of the points you made, some were very good, but don't state ojbective opinions and then tell us that there is no evidence to back up some of the claims made by people picking Kessler. There is in fact more evidence to support their arguement than there is for yours.

How would he escape the accuracy of Pavlik and being pushed into corners with the effective volume punching? Pavlik is very consistant, durable and a very hard puncher. Calzaghe was able to walk Kessler down and back him up, even hurting him with a body punch and if the referee didn't seperate them at the exact same moment, then you could make a case for Kessler going down. He was pretty hurt. Would have been devestating if Kessler was hurt against Pavlik, who brings more pressure than Calzaghe, is a way harder puncher than Calzaghe and has straighter shots than Calzaghe as well. He is also a better finsher than Calzaghe and has those pin point accurate shots that wears you down over the course of a fight. I can't see Kessler doing well in this match up. He would look better against a fighter that doesn't bring as much pressure and actually takes a step back, like Librado Andrade. Pavlik would be too much for Kessler.

Pavlik by unanimous decision, possibly late stoppage.
I'm a bit drunk just returned froma wine tasting, so making a long ass response to this pretty good post is impossible. But I will say this: Kessler is definetely not a 'back-and-fourth' fighter. He has excellent footwork and I might suspect that you havent seen a lot of him.

Andrade said that Kessler kept him off balance all night and always gave him angles with no room to counter.
