That's an easy one....Kessler by early KO (before end of 5). Taylor is too small, and too inactive, and loses in a big way to Kessler. That kid shines.

Too small for Kessler? Taylor is a true super middleweight, maybe one day he will be a light-heavyweight. Kessler isn't an enormous super middleweight and probably will end his career at 168.

Kessler is bigger than Jermain, however Taylor is not small by any means. He (as well as Pavlik) is a naturally bigger guy that pulls his weight down to be more effective and have the advantages at the smaller weight classes. Taylor has the frame of a super middleweight and could still be very effective at light heavyweight. To be honest, Jermain is no smaller than Joe Calzaghe. I would give Taylor a good shot at beating Kessler. He throws better combinations, is more fluent/elsuive and is the better out boxer. I could definitely see Taylor pulling off a close decision here. While Kessler is a very good fighter, i think that people overestimate him a tad bit. The only wins of his that i were impressed with were his wins over Mundine and Andrade, neither guy is as good as Taylor. Taylor has cleary fought the better opposition and beaten the better opposition as well. The Taylor that fought Pavlik in the rematch has a very good shot at beating kessler. He didn't back up into any ropes, kept his hands up and was on his toes boxing for the entire fight.

I don't see Kessler matching well against these elusive boxers. He is very flat footed and can be out boxed.

Kessler would crap his pants if he fought Pavlik, and also Kessler seems to have lost his confidence after losing to Calzaghe.

Kessler is a large SM. He's very close to the size of Pavlik (who is a gargantuan middle, and huge even for a supermiddle). I'm not talking necessarily height, here...I'm talking bone structure. Look at Taylor's shoulder width compared to Kessler and Pavlik. He's definitely smaller than both. And never ready to go 12 hard rounds. And carries his guard low (Kessler will eat that right up), and fights low (can't be a more perfect victim). Taylor has LOADS of good qualities, but just as many bad habits to go along with them.

Just to compare....Kessler and Taylor are both 6'1". Kessler has a 73" reach (don't know what Taylor's is). Pavlik is nearly 6'3", and has a 75" reach.

            Different body types.

Just another example, I know a guy who's 6'6" and wears an 11 shoe, and a large glove size. He weighs 200 pounds. I'm 6'2", weigh 215, wear XXL gloves, and a 13 shoe, and can twist him up like a pretzel any time I choose.
