    Green K for that.

When hurt, Joe's brittle hands fly out the window, and he lands some devastating punches.

Everyone says Taylor and Miranda hit harder, and couldn't stop Pavlik. Taylor doesn't, and although Miranda does, he was not be able to get to Pavlik as much as Joe would. If you can't land punches with any regularity, power becomes irrelevant. Joe is more than capable of putting Kelly away, but he will not risk it because if his hands go against somebody like Pavlik, he would be in big, big trouble.

Everyone thinks Joe's brittle hands are something new, when in fact he had operations on them as an amatuer, and was even told he would never be able to box again. Since that, he has turned pro and the rest, as they say, is history.
    Karma returned!
Yeah many posters on both sides try to belittle the other. Both guys are champions for a reason. Both of them are uniquely different in their approach and can be overwhelming to their opponents. Many call Joe "slappy" but he has done what was necessary to prolong his career. If he fought Pavlik and knew it was his last fight before retiring, he would go all out as protecting the hands would not be necessary.

Many call Pavlik robotic but it is only his lankiness that makes him look that way. He is a precision hard puncher, shows great range and suburb accuracy. The kid is as tough as nails and has a cruel demeanor. He really likes to punish guys it seems!hehe

Dont you think that you contradicted yourself by saying that? Thats what i thought. I think Floyd fans got lucky that it went his way. I called the fight 6 rounds to 6 rounds- a draw.

I just cant understand why you would say that Calzaghe hits harder than Taylor. That is a case of a fan being dillusional. I am a Calzaghe fan more so that Taylor, and still know he hits nowhere near as hard as Jermaine. You can give up on a KO or TKO victory for Joe in this one. In the spirit of not being an ******* to you, please start hyping up a decision based on ring generalship or something. A KO is simply out of the question against Pavlik.

Maybe if getting busted up, and taking a ****ing knee like you're giving your broad an engagement ring.
Lockett's ol' Smeagol lookin ass looked like he lost his precious last night. You don't love boxing, don't step in the ring with a killer like Pavlik.
          Pretty simple.
What was up with Lockett looking all mad and pissed before the fight... Hahaha Smeagol lookin' ass

At no point have I ever said it is likely, all I say is that if Joe wanted to he could put Kelly away.

Joe either wins wide on the cards or Pavlik quits on his stool.

Calzaghe hits 3X harder than Taylor went he wants to sit down on his punches.

Lockett said post fight that he did not see the punches coming. That one statement says a lot, let me explain.

Pavlik punches hard with everything he throws, but he never loads up or telegraphs even though he is not fast. He seems to like it when guys try to do a peekaboo defense as he will thread that needle and still get to them. he did it against Miranda, Taylor and now Lockett. He will even sometimes bat his opponents left glove away with a left hook and deliver a right hand behind it.

It is actually very precision technical stuff. It is those little things that will make him tough to beat.

Many want to see Winky fight him, but Winky and his peekaboo is made for Pavlik. it will take a guy with very good head movement and footwork to beat him. Same thing will happen to Abraham, he likes Peekaboo also and will also get beaten down. I'll say this once more, Winky and Abraham will get slaughtered by Pavlik!!!

Joe has the best chance being awkward and a lefty. He will have to keep moving though and not square up. It is a good tough fight and whoever forces their style better wins the fight. If they fight both will have a key to victory and whoever wants it more wins.
Good post but I have to disagree with you about a few things. In the first fight Taylor was trying to use head movement to no avail. In the second fight he held up a high guard and Kelly did not land a serious punch for most of the fight until he went to the body in the 11th. In that fight Kelly was just punching Taylors arms. Taylor didnt punch often at all but it was still a close fight because Pavlik didnt land any punches either.

Pavlik's chin is decent. He takes straight shots, which he sees coming and rolls with, very well (like the Miranda fight) but he can be hurt by punches that he doesnt see coming. Because Calzagne is a master of throwing punches in weird angles, and is the bigger guy, I think he will stop Kelly.

So because he posts facts he must be an alt?

Calzaghe can punch considerably harder than Taylor, although 3x harder is a little exagerated.

                      Back to the dillusions.
First of all: Calzaghe CANNOT, no matter what he does- stop Kelly Pavlik. (give up on it)
Secondly: What would make you ever asomb that Kelly would quit on his stool. Joe has made no fighters that i know of, quit on their stool. Much less the undisputed , undefeated middleweight champ.

If Pavlik has not proven to you that he has one hell of alot of heart , then i guess he will never prove that. We will just have to see where the chips fall if the fight comes off. I don't think the fight will be made, but you never know. Roy Jones will probably be fighting Joe, and if Joe is true to his word will be retiring afterwards. If I were Joe, I would take the Pavlik fight over Jones. Even at this age, Jones is still faster and a way sharper puncher. At least he has a speed advantage over Pavlik. With Jones, the only advantages he will have are movement and workrate. Jones owns all other catagories excluding the chins. But, that will not come into play in that fight either.
