Lets get things straight here... Calzaghe is stronger than Pavlik

Notice how Lockett was able to stand in the middle of the ring without using any hand speed or footwork? He was not forced onto the ropes at all and just because Pavlik out muscled Taylor it doesn't mean he will out muscle Calzaghe. Calzaghe is the Light Heavyweight champion, two divisions higher than Pavlik and has always fought at a higher weight class than him... Please to god don't tell me you think a 173 lbs Pavlik can out muscle Calzaghe who has fought guys as big as 190.

Watch at the end of round 5, Kessler moves in to pressure Calzaghe so Calzaghe just ties him up and hits him. Calzaghe is a big match spoiler, Pavlik wont be able to go to work.

    Here's part 4.

Notice in the 8th round how agressive Kessler is, Kessler eventually runs out of gass and Calzaghe really hurts him to the body. How do you expect Pavlik to keep that up for 12 rounds?

Calzaghe's footwork is severly underrated too. Calzaghe beat Kessler to the punch and circled around him causing terrible angles for Kessler to try and get off a punch.

People think Calzaghe can't punch but he can, Kessler got a reminder here big time.

I could watch that fight over and over, all day if I had the time.

Calzaghe performed brilliantly in that fight, from the 5 round onwards it was a clinic.

Kessler's durability is highly respected by boxing insiders, and Calzaghe had him reeling more than once, almost stopping him at one point.

I added the video into my post now . Bottom line is, Kessler has betten footwork and handspeed than Pavlik, Kessler is also a lot bigger than Pavlik in frame yet Calzaghe was still able to boss him onto the ropes and hurt him.

          Calzaghe can't punch? That's nonsense.

I think you have to be careful comparing Kessler and Pavlik. There's only so far you can go with it. After Joe's great win against Kessler I am reserving judgement on Kessler until he comes back and proves himself again. It's important to see where he goes from here so we know how good he really is.

But Joe was brilliant against Kessler that night and it's worth adding that Joe took some tasty shots early on too, I remember some stinging uppercuts that caught Joe from Kessler. Joe can take a punch and if he takes too many he has the ability to change his plan of attack slightly and go a different route to win.

Great champions find a way to win and Joe has this in his locker. Provided his hands hold up and old father time doesn't catch him cold all of a sudden he'll be too much for Pavlik.

You can see a pattern in Calzaghe fights. He overwhelms a guy with those slapping shots until the guy is unable to set his shots up. I wouldn't be surprised if that works against Pavlik, since Pavlik relys on so much techical skill and footwork. If Pavlik can take those tiny steps backwards away from Joe's attempt at flurrying, and come back with somthin heavy, I think he can win. I mean that's how I thought Hopkins was going to win, I thought that Hopkins knock down was going to be a knock out later in the fight. I really don't think Joe has a chin.

#1. Calzaghe isn't a champion of anything at Light Heavyweight.
#2. You can not be serious? Hopkins dropped Calzaghe.

And Calzaghe slaps like a little *****. Pavlik will KO him inside 4 rounds.

You also think Oscar De La Hoya beats Mayweather in a rematch.

                  Well done ya thick ****!

I thought de la Hoya did enough to beat Mayweather the first time, obviously so did Mayweather, because he ran into retirement.
