        Calzaghe wins my vote.

        I agree with the writer, although Manny P has very impressive claims, and I've no dispute with anyone who picks him. What seals it for me are;

        1] His undefeated record. If he wanted to, he could easily, in my opinion go o0n to 50 wins, beating Marciano's overhyped record.
        2] He has only ONE loss on his complete record both Amateur and professional, which show that he's always been a very special fighter, whose worth we didn't recognise until lately. he doesn't recognise the possibility of losing, ever.
        3] He has ploughed right through men who wwere strongly fancied to beat him and has the rarw capacity of raising his level as much as is needed, the more he's challenged.
        4] He has [generally unappreciated] great skill and is an all round fighter with a very solid chin.

          It really is a toss-up right now. If Pac-Man beats Diaz convincingly, I say he takes it. If Calzaghe has a big win over either Roy or Pavlik then he's #1 no doubt about it.

            just curious why if they were the same equal and pacman would have the power and speed advantage...pacman would taste those slaps and show he has superior underated boxing skills...joe calzaghe is no jmm! he doesnt have that type o superior skill, joe c is a swarming jumping in and out similar to pacman but he lacks the hard punch...pacman would leap back catch joe coming in counter him with his manila ice right hook that worked against morales...and follow with a straight hard left.

            pacman then would double up on the jab and throw straights down the middle.

            joes nose would break and if hopkins could knock down joe imagine a speedy hungry even more aggressive pacman...prime for prime pacman murders joe slapper! no question.

            even barrera in his prime and jmm and morales would murder JOE C! and pacman beat all those guys so again how can you say joe c will win or is it british bias?

              so dont give Joe C a top spot because he beats a guy coming up in wieght...if pacman beat a guy coming up in weight who is a top level guy people wouldnt give him credit for ****.

              its a strange bias and it pisses me off.

              its also funny how pacman who was a breath of fresh air for boxing when he first burst on the scene gets hated on because of a few moronic nutt huggers.

              remember when pacman came on the scene? he was what boxing needed he came at a time when fighters never fought each other! but he said ok give me the next tough mexican, or the next tough guy...thats why people need to love this guy.

              while joe calzaghe was pampering his padded record in england and wales pacman was already moving up in weights to vie for titles.

              I also think Pavlik should be ranked higher then Calzaghe that is just me....plus Pavlik would murder the crap outta the slapper...Pavlik aint a coward with no heart his heart is big he has the will power of 100 men...joe C will be put into retirement by Pavlik.
              wtf i dont care about resume boxing ability counts in his prime and if he didnt have ****ed up hands like he has now calzaghe would beat pac easy.

                  obvious

                  IT'S OBVIOUSLY CALZAGHE ANY TRUE FAN OF BOXING WOULD PUT HIM OVER PAC MAN...FANS WHO WOULD GO AGAINST THAT ARE BEING VERY BIASED AND PURELY PICKING PAC MAN BECAUSE HE IS FILIPINO..NOW IF THE QUESTION IS WHO'S MORE EXCITING THEN PERSONALLY I'D GO WITH PAC MAN I'D RATHER SEE PAC MAN FIGHTS THEN CALZAGHE..OR IF THE QUESTION WAS POUND FOR POUND WHO PUNCHEST HARDEST THEN YEA OFCOARSE PAC MAN..BUT P4P THE BEST..ITS EASILY CALZAGHE
